Because sometimes you need to say something, to get it out, and you just need to say it how you want to say it and not have anyone judge you for it and not let the fact if it makes sense or not be damned.

I'll start. It's abstract but so is feeling:

Last night I watched two raccoons fighting outside my window, two raccoons fighting and yowling like a sack of cats. There's a photo of my mother on the fridge; she died two years ago. In it she's wearing a yellow blazer and shoulder pads so you know its from the eighties. Her expression seems like a Mona Lisa smile. Sometimes I feel like I'm sitting and waiting for something to arrive, but it never does. Lately I've been listening to the music I listened to in high school. All the candles in my apartment are lit. I want the raccoons to come back but I don't know why.

I go into every endeavor I undertake expecting failure.

Then to some degree you already have.
