Hummm, that's a bit of a bother there. Well, more Muricaean pestering is in order! Anyone else got troubles? As well as the various bits of potentially useful information that might help pinpoint what the bother could be?

Anyway, take our word that the information is there! We art just filling out some of the various defenders, portals, and towns. It seems we art one short for Dominaria and Phyrexia for some reason. On that note, if anyone hast any ideas of an interesting structure we would happily loot the idea! Thinking that a Phyrexian vat complex would be a good one for healing, but we do not hath our books on hand to flick through and find a nice flavourful Dominarian spot to fight on.

I can see the map and the structures and the armies, but as noted the links are still broken.

Yup, been that way for a while now. I think people are working on getting permissions for the website to get it back running again.

TGL!

Thanks for the poke, its been a long time. Things kind of went off on their merry way after Round 6 and a lot has happened since I disappeared, but I'd be glad to return to the ranks of Dominaria.

Huzzah! It's been a long time, Kelket. I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield once more.

Thou art welcome Kelket, good to see thee about! :D We would like to hear about thy travels and the inevitable destruction that thee partook in sometime! Reckon thee can set about guiding The Coalition into reforming? There is Lord LuneEquie thus far, but having a veteran to aid in the setup at this stage seems wise even if thee do not retake the General position.

Hummm, we will see what Murica says art the needed bits of information to get the site working for thee then. But then, well, everything will be in place again - we even managed to find the full Round 7 ruleset (the long version covering the nitty gritty matters). It is going to take a bit of reformatting though >.<. Was there anything else needed? It hast been a wee while since we were 'on the ground' as it were! Otherwise, getting a comfortable number of players in order still. Once each side is settled it will be easy for us to alter what is already on the site to suit (and train a new judge if things go that way).

(We art also game for some OSMQs (duels) if anyone is keen for something a bit more concrete than our terrible example earlier!)

Imagine my frustration when I coulnd't find my old avatar. Must I suffer such indignity? How fortuitous, then, that fate (Facebook ... Fatebook?) brings me here to be in the company of fine gentlemen once more.

I am Forerunner (briefly, FR). I began playing in Round 3 as a lowly pawn for the White Faction. In the waning days of the war, the lust for power and prestige (larger armies) swayed me to side with the Phyrexians for Round 4. That, ultimately, was a dreadful miscalculation. In my negligence (and, being a typical college student, hungover as hell), I failed to submit my Portal defense strategy against the formidable Murica before the deadline; the first Portal battle of the new round, the spotlight was all mine! It was the most stinging defeat, embarrassing and shameful. Four turns we toiled to dislodge Murica's Green Army and four turns we failed. Once the ash and dust had settled from the weeks-long slaughter, the Portal that I was charged with defending was but a ruin. My failure was,in all likelihood, the primary cause for the Phyrexian defeat in Round 4.

(I figure you guys could use a juicy narrative to get a little more enticed to play the game. The emergent stories that grow naturally from the game are some of the most wonderful gaming experiences, to be sure.)

OUTSIDE of the CWG proper: I am Forerunner, noob-basher extraordinaire! Wit and sarcasm on par with the legendary Demonsedge! Brooding overlord of Council of Shadows (CoS, another player and real-life friend of mine)! How exciting it is to be back :)

@ TGL: I don't mind retaking the position of General (though I've always been partial to Red Faction) and I'd be more than happy to help with the setup. It just may be a week or so before I can get going, since I will be off on a wilderness adventure full of much loot and battle (or camping for you dull folks) for five days. And I will have to look around for my old files; I kept everything from my time with the wargame, I just don't know where its at right now.

@Tevish: Good to see you too! I have to admit that with all of the real life stuff going on the CWG slipped my mind, but it will be nice to be back with a great group of people and some new faces, Phyrexian or not. :P

I didn't realize "If you build it it, they will come" applied to the Coalition War Game...

I just searched internet archives and couldn't come up with Forerunner's avatar either. Drat.

In my desperate search to find my old avatar, I ran into some good ol' pictures...

Again, I hope that those who might be considering joining the game will find this display of awesome as incentive enough. The CWG community is indeed a one-of-a-kind place and you would be robbing yourself of an opportunity to exercise tactical creativity, discover strategic brilliance, and interact with some fantastic fellows...

I feel like an old man walking back into this place. And I see the drums of war are banging once more?

If we're talking about your man-boobs, then yes.

I'd like to say a few things:
One, my time is shorter than I imagined it would be while visiting family (a three- and five-year-old take up a lot of time I could otherwise use).
Two, I'm roughly keeping up with this thread in my lurking, but I have not really put any further thought into, say, my army or anything like that; again, limited time, so I'm focusing on one thing at a time (which at the moment is a clandestine project for upcoming submission [for the AF&S/M:EM people, to be slightly clearer]).
Three, if there is anything I need to be pestered to do, if you would contact me via pm; I have it set up to send me email alerts which I will notice within a relatively short timeframe (say, 3 hours max). Please and thank you.

I'm still relatively excited about starting this, but I haven't had the time to really wrap my head around all the rules and whatnot.
