Imagine my frustration when I coulnd't find my old avatar. Must I suffer such indignity? How fortuitous, then, that fate (Facebook ... Fatebook?) brings me here to be in the company of fine gentlemen once more.
I am Forerunner (briefly, FR). I began playing in Round 3 as a lowly pawn for the White Faction. In the waning days of the war, the lust for power and prestige (larger armies) swayed me to side with the Phyrexians for Round 4. That, ultimately, was a dreadful miscalculation. In my negligence (and, being a typical college student, hungover as hell), I failed to submit my Portal defense strategy against the formidable Murica before the deadline; the first Portal battle of the new round, the spotlight was all mine! It was the most stinging defeat, embarrassing and shameful. Four turns we toiled to dislodge Murica's Green Army and four turns we failed. Once the ash and dust had settled from the weeks-long slaughter, the Portal that I was charged with defending was but a ruin. My failure was,in all likelihood, the primary cause for the Phyrexian defeat in Round 4.
(I figure you guys could use a juicy narrative to get a little more enticed to play the game. The emergent stories that grow naturally from the game are some of the most wonderful gaming experiences, to be sure.)
OUTSIDE of the CWG proper: I am Forerunner, noob-basher extraordinaire! Wit and sarcasm on par with the legendary Demonsedge! Brooding overlord of Council of Shadows (CoS, another player and real-life friend of mine)! How exciting it is to be back
