I have been currently play testing a fogger type of deck. I have won more than I have lost with it but I haven't played it enough yet. It is EPIC when it wins. It loses by not getting the limited spells it needs.

I get hit a lot early, letting creatures wear me down near death, and then EPIC comebacks ensue or epic 300 style stall outs to death.

I will post the build once I am more confident in it. Currently I am testing a DASH of red thrown in.

This deck requires Premium Cards...

This is my Bant Combo deck I've been using with very good success. Suffers a bit if Goblins gets off to an amazing start and can be a bit slow, but draws cards better than any other deck in the game.

3 Wall of Omens (Necessity, can't find a replacement)
4 Lone Missionary
3 Safe Passage
2 Planar Cleansing(Being able to wipe practically everything off the board is so nice and, for the most part, the meta is slow enough to get to 6 mana)
4 Think Twice (Could use inspiration here, and it actually might be BETTER...need to test)
3 Archaeomancer (Might drop a Safe Passage for a 4th...need to test)
1 Time Warp
4 Fog
4 Elvish Visionary
3 Darksteel Ingot
1 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth (not really needed, I have him basically for anti-mill strategies...Elixir can substitute somewhat reliably in multiples)
3 Species Gorger
1 Resolute Archangel (The BEAST in the deck and by far the most used beatstick)

4 Plains
4 Island
4 Forest
4 Azorius Guildgate
4 Selesnya Guildgate
4 Simic Guildgate

Land distribution is obviously not to everyones liking, but it does very well as the deck needs access to lots of colours early and often. Haven't had many issues with the CIPT lands.

Currently the deck stands 15-5, with the losses to 1 Goblin Deck curving out insanely well with me drawing land 4 turns straight, a B/G Sanguine Bond deck that won when I had the pieces of the lock on the board and Time Warp in hand (1 mana shy), and 3 hands I should not have kept. I believe that counterspells would wreck this deck, but as those decks lose to G/W tokens and Goblins handily it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyways, I hope this inspires some of you to go out and try this build...games are fairly long and you'll get some less than positive replies for sore losers! :)

Actually, Species Gorger plus Resolute Archangel is pretty sick, I didn't think of dipping into white when I was fiddling with the Frog Beast. I now have the inspiration to try again!

Here is the fogger build I have been toying with. It works surprisingly well in my random 1v1 matches. By no means do I claim it to be GREAT. But I am pleased with its performance for what it is and what it does.

3 x Wall of Omen
4 x Safe Passage
2 x Planar Cleansing
2 x Resolute Archangel
4 x Think Twice
3 x Hysterical Blindness
1 x Time Warp
4 x Thassa's Bounty
4 x Fog
4 x Elvish Visionary
2 x Sphinx-Bone Wand
1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

5 x Plains
5 x Island
4 x Azorius Guildgate
4 x Simic Guildgate
4 x Selesnya Guildgate

Its biggest weakness typically are fast decks that get off to a great start when it didn't get an early fog in hand to maintain drawing ability while keeping their damage nullified. I have had a ton of fun with this deck and Sphinx-Bone wand is BRUTAL here when you get it down and you're nullifying their attacks while simultaneously murdering their face!

Obviously since it is so focused on what it wants to do, things like counterspells and skullcrack can be DEADLY when used properly, but hey all decks have their weaknesses! I have had a lot of fun playing this deck a ridiculous amount of times to get it where it is now!

I run a low land count on purpose and use the mulligan feature ruthlessly. It just seems to work better with less odds of drawing lands and more odds of drawing the cards that make the deck work. As stupid as it sounds, I have tested it a LOT and this 22 land count with good mulligans has produced some of the best results. I even did 21 lands for a while and it worked well too. Once in a while it can have some mana issues as far as not getting enough. But hey all decks have mana issues at times!

Right now my fogger build is closest to Kryder's build. I run
-2 Lone Missionary
-4 Think Twice
-1 Forest

+3 cultivate
+3 inspiration
+1 Roil elemental

This deck archetype draws a ton of cards and has some very expensive (and mana intensive) combos. I like to ramp into a turn 5 planar cleansing or turn 6 resolute archangel. Spending 15 mana for Kozilek + Time Warp is also priceless.

Think twice is best in builds that: A) use a lot of instants and want to keep mana open B) do not care that the card exiles itself. This deck only uses a few fogs on your opponent's turn, and can recur inspiration more profitably than think twice.

Roil elemental is not a central part of the deck. Rather, I consider it and resolute archangel to be "toolbox" cards. Roil elemental + cultivate + archaeomancer to recur cultivate can wreck decks with no removal handy. Roil elemental is also a great card to use after a board wipe, as you can use it to leapfrog ahead of your opponent tempo-wise.

I really like the idea of Sphinx Bone Wand as a win condition that is resilient to removal. However, my build does not run that many instants and sorceries. In addition, it is a bit of a nonbo with Planar Cleansing - I do not want my 7 mana win condition to be wiped out by my 6 mana board wipe, which I often recur several times in one game.

This is certainly a fun deck and I do not think my list is optimized. The main problems this deck suffers are vs decks with lots of burn / noncombat damage. Games can also drag on for a very long time if your opponent is able to successfully remove your species gorgers. I am tempted to add more countermagic to improve the control magic but I think this would make the aggro matchups suffer.

I really do like the gorger idea for this type of build but I have been having so much fun and surprising success with my current build in 1v1 randoms. Shocking how well it does.

Think twice in my build is great, gets me further in my deck a little faster AND, I can recast it later in the game when my sphinx wand is on the table for the dmg from it. OR if I MUST use it before then, it is like having another draw card in hand without taking a hit to my 7 max cap. Great card to play with sphinx in my opinion.

The boardwipe does remove sphinx but for my build, that isn't an issue since I am not using it as often and I can sift through my deck at crazy speeds, (It does see a lot of use). One of my favorite things to do is wipe the board and then drop sphinx on the next turn. If sphinx sticks on the board and I have a few fogish type abilities, it is pretty much gAME OVER for the enemy.

The biggest enemies of my build are probably similar to the other builds. Aggro that gets a GREAT start and I don't get an early Fog in hand to help stall it out. Decks with LOTS of burn spells, and Skullcrack can really hurt. Or well played Dissolves can really hurt at times.

However, these also happen to be things that can really screw over most decks! (aggro and burn mostly) :P

Avoid the Fog

3 x Wall of Omen
4 x Safe Passage
2 x Planar Cleansing
2 x Resolute Archangel
4 x Think Twice
3 x Hysterical Blindness
4 x Inspirations
1 x Time Warp
4 x Thassa's Bounty
4 x Fog
4 x Elvish Visionary
2 x Sphinx-Bone Wand
1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

6 x Plains
6 x Island
6 x Forests
4 x Azorius Guildgate

Somehow I forgot the Inspirations.. Now it should be 60 in the list! woops. Also I am currently testing the lands differntly. One of the biggest issues was starting slowly. I feel Figuring out a better land setup will fix that and this new land setup appears to work a bit faster. It may get tweaked a little further.

I know! It is so fun and TOTALLY a different playstyle! And a LOT of people will hate you for it. Some people will talk ****. It is a fun build. It can't win against EVERY deck but it deff is consistent in 1v1 randoms!

I agree, all decks have a weakness. All your builds are so great man. On xbox my 30 decks, at least 9 are your ideas. Ha, i feel like i should pay you.

why not just edit the op of the deck instead of posting the whole thing again and taking up space. and yes people need to start naming their decks so it can be charted in the OP for faster reference instead of scrolling all the time to find something.

I will be more mindful of editing things properly. I feel happy that I have been so inspiring to you Von.

I think that the decks I post are as good as they are because.. I craft a lot of decks. I play a LOT of online matches. I don't make decks and play them against the computer. So all of my decks are tested with live players and they only make it to these pages when I feel that they are consistent enough.

As for a name, I simply call this one "Turbo Fog". Haha Not as cool of a name as End of Days by any means.. Maybe "The Fog"?

I dunno I am open for suggestions on names for this one. :P

I will edit the latest post to insert the name Turbo Fog for now so it is easy to find. Which decks have you found most enjoyable?

Honestly this particular build took the LONGEST to get to where it is now. I lost TONS of matches to get this consistency to where it is now. But damn is it a pretty fun build finally. And people are always amazed. (Or pissed)

I just love figuring out unconventional builds. It's why I came up with this. Someone said there wasn't enough draw in the game to make a turbo fog deck. I did it and made it consistent. :)

Edit: calling it "Avoid the Fog" for now.

Sorry, i didn't want it to seem like i was calling you out on missing things, i just felt like this deck needed a name!! How about Visibility Zero? or Discombobulation, because no one has any idea what the heck your playing until its to late.

Tbh my 2 favorite decks other than this one (started testing it last night) are END OF DAYS and the AMASS THE ARMY. So so so so so many people have sent me messages for using that END OF DAYS deck. They call my a pussy, and a 1 trick pony? Lmao, the rage is intense in this Duels.

But the reason i love you decks bro is they aren't just normal put **** down and go. The random combos and overall synergy in these decks are what make them stand out.

I never really thought about this and I just have them named "Mono White" or "Grixis", etc in my game, lol. I'll start naming them.

I gotta give End of Days more play time again. That deck was awesome.

Oh dude, Amass the Army.. Is just MEAN. I don't really play it anymore because it is just too good and it appears most players never see the charge coming! It even comes back from Anger of the Gods more often than not..

By the way, did you see my RUG build? It is pretty nasty too man. Love playing that one, it can really wreck havoc turn 4 and on and is super consistent!
