Good job with that Khledar. I imagine determining what random bit of conversation was connected to which deck and/or colour combination was a major pain. Still better to do it now rather then when we suddenly get an influx of tri-colours down the line eh?

Its seems that the wedges now have real names thanks to the upcoming set. The new names are:

Abzan
Jeskai
Sultai
Mardu
Temur


It will take some time getting used to the new names but I have been wanting an expansion based on those wedges for a long time. Finally!

I feel compelled to comment on this.

There are plenty of people who wander in here, post decklists with no accompanying strategy addendum, and no one cries "spam". Decklist threads are for decklists, after all.

I do understand why reposting old content without adding to it is frowned upon, but I thought that MrP's planner was reason enough to reformat all my lists and repost them. To me, substantially changing the list's visual format was adding enough content to justify a new post.

Was it lazy to just repost them? Sure. Was it wrong? I don't think so.

The majority of people who post decklists with no accompanying strategy are newcomers who don't really understand the culture of the forum, so are not held to the same standard as someone with thousands of posts. They're generally politely asked to provide some explanation next time if they want feedback, or their lists are simply ignored.

There's a big difference between a newcomer posting a single new deck without explaination and a veteran simultaneously reposting a dozen old decks without explanation, which also had the effect of burying newer contributions from others by dominating most of the first page of the subforum. It's the reason others simply edited their OPs, even if it took more work.

I don't think criticism was unfair as a result. It wasn't so much the action of reposting a deck that I personally felt was disruptive as the volume of posts made within a small window and how it buried the contibutions of others without providing much in itself due to the missing strategies.

If people are going to repost their old decks in the new format, I'd just suggest maybe not doing it in bulk.

I have a funny view on it. If the deck is really great, then it's fine. If the deck is no good, then it's a crime.

Then I'm safe!
