Benthicore. 7 power/toughness for 7 with protection seems great.

it's really 2 bad nothing will wheel out of this pack because we could count on getting the 7 drop I think and take the wight... Benthicore since we can shroud it.

Armed with Aether?
The drake feels like it costs a bit much.
We could also get into black with Clutch.

Arm with Aether's not too bad with a little evasion. I still prefer Clutch. Removal that powers up our zombies (which we could end up with more of).

Clutch costs way too much. Arm with Aether.

Remember that this is a multiplayer game here. Arm with Aether isn't a tempo blowout, it's a death sentence for us since all the other players will attack us when we tap out. Too much of a do-nothing card for my taste.

Tattered Drake. It's blue, flies and blocks things.

I don't like clutch's casting cost, although multiplayer mana bases can have some flexibility, assuming you won't get killed for doing nothing.
Arm with Aether seems like a "win in 2 turns" card when you are down to 2 players only. Drake seems OK.

I cannot overstress how much of a trap option Arm with Aether is. I've played with the card in Cube, in multiplayer, tried to make it work every time, and it's just bad, bad, bad. If there's one thing to take away from all my posts, it's "don't pick Arm with Aether."

It's really between clutch and drake. I'm changing to drake actually, unkillable blockers in multi-player is boss.

Aquitects. Our merfolk tribal is strongest.

Aquitects is ok, but I wouldn't mind Inquisitor if we're going to White (and merfolk is W/U)

Crown. At worse it's removal. At best it's a sweeper. Most likely it's a pawn you play in multiplayer to pump an opponent's creatures as they attack another opponent.

Alchemist. That's quite the ability in limited, not to mention he goes well with laquatus.

Kinda want the alchemist... Really want the alchemist...
I mean, another merfolk for consistency is great, but Alchemist + Laquatus will take over games.

If this was 1v1, I would pick Aquitects as the more aggressive option, but for multiplayer, I really like Undead Alchemist. If we can play that and then start milling with Laquatus and Tattered Drake, we'll be creating some serious pressure. Remember that multiplayer games go long and 40 card decks are small.
