The fact that it's only four years is more surprising considering Americans.

Odd Canada Facts:

The Stanley Cup has its own bodyguard, but that doesn’t mean Canadian hockey champions haven’t put all kinds of different foods and drinks in it (everything from chocolate milk to popcorn and cereal!)

Canada officially got its own national flag on February 15, 1965 — almost 100 years after it became a country (in 1867).

Between 1984 and 2008, it was illegal to sell pop in cans in PEI. All carbonated drinks had to be purchased in refillable glass bottles. PEI was the only place in North America to have a “can ban.”

More Odd Facts: England

French was the official language for about 300 years.

While the Great Fire of London was largely destructive, the casualty rate was just 8.

Gargoyles were originally used as drain pipes!

Windsor Castle is the largest royal home in the world.

The London Eye is the tallest ferris wheel in Europe.

Everyone calls it the Tower of London, but the building’s full official name is His Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London.

Ps3trophies.org voted "The Last of Us" one of the best games but one of the worst trophy lists last year.

And in a surprising twist, the EA logo gets worst platinum trophy image for 3 years running. (Or was it 4?)

Sorry Jack, but I lack the background to comprehend your trophy talk. What's a trophy image, what do you mean by "worst trophy list"?

"Trophy" = "Achievement" for the rest of the gaming world.

In other words, everyone loved the game but thought the list of achievements to earn was lame / bad.

As for the second line, I dunno...

And now for: Russia

One quarter of Russia is covered by trees, and its forests contain 22 percent of all the trees on earth.

Russia is one million square miles larger than Pluto.

During a 1995 visit to Washington, then-President Boris Yeltsin was found on Pennsylvania Avenue, drunk in his underwear and trying to hail a cab in order to find pizza.

In exchange for Pepsi products, Russia gave Pepsi 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate, and a destroyer in 1990. At the time, it was the seventh largest submarine fleet in the world.

Bears in Russia are addicted to jet fuel, and sniff it to get high and pass out.

It is believed that rationing during the world wars may have actually made Britons healthier.

A single Tomahawk cruise missile is believed to cost one and a half million dollars. Better hit something important.

The first aircraft carriers were called "seaplane tenders". They were not strips of delicious seaplane meat, but instead ships that had a crane for loading and unloading seaplanes from the ship's deck.

A trophy is the playstation equivalent of an achievement. Every trophy has an image associated with it.

A platinum trophy is awarded for a 100%. So having a bad platinum trophy image is viewed as just plain lazy and, in the worst cases, an insult to the people who have spent time playing your game.

EA games puts their logo on their platinum trophies. But usually it is some variation of it with the sport in the name that makes it kind of cool and/or okay. But one of their games, I think it was NCAA, literally just has the logo and nothing else as its image.

Doesnt really seem like something to rage over. You still got the platinum showing you did it ... and not like you're throwing it on your mantel to show off.

The only time the word incorrectly isn't spelled incorrectly is when it's spelled incorrectly.

Salvador Dalí had an older brother named Salvador Dalí who died nine months before Salvador was born. Salvador's parents (and as a result, Salvador as well) believed that he was the reincarnation of his older brother.

Oldest known form of life? Stromatolites.
Quetzalcoatalus was a pterosaur as tall as a giraffe.
Australopithecus Afarensis (think Lucy) spent four times as long on earth as homo sapiens have so far.
Sesame Street has won more Emmies than any other show ever.
The University of Pennsylvania is older than the state of Pennsylvania.

The only episodes of Mr Rogers rarely shown in repeats is the week long "Conflict" series (episodes #1521–#1525), first aired during the week of November 7–11, 1983 to coincide with ABC's airing of the television film The Day After, and designed for children to cope with the aftereffects of that film. The series/story arc covered the topics of war, bombs, and an arms race. The "Conflict" series was last aired on PBS during the week of April 1–5, 1996.
