Yeah, I'm pretty sure my first of those three posts counts as a wall. The second was intended to just be a bit snark - something else I do regularly; the third was an edit to the second - I even pressed the "edit" button before remembering not to actually do that, and that I needed to make a post instead.

*

Thanks for the answer, Squinty. I have an hour to think about it. Time to go grab my lunchtime walk and ponder...

No problem, Zherog. I think my other posts have explained my stance on him, so I just went with the number that felt right. Simple number based on your request.

Just to put it out there before Neo posts, I voted No. While I'm most comfortable with Razor among the three Mission 1 players, isn't as high as Squinty's. Add in Bentz and Mouse, two players I'm not at all comfortable with due to lack of posts, and I just couldn't find myself agreeing to the group.

Since we get to see what people vote, I don't see it being beneficial to town announcing your vote before hand. Simply saying "I voted" would be enough because then we know it wasn't a default vote. Saying how you voted* gives the spies too much information. If they know most people are going to vote no, then they can hide behind no's as well.

* I mean everyone in general. At the time you made this statement there were only two other people that possibly hadn't voted.

Well, since my mission is voted down, our three optional leaders are a guy who was on the failed mission and two players who have kept quiet and seem to have little to no opinions. So, this'll go well.

I had to vote no for that one as well. Because the only way it didn't have a spy on it is

1): There were two spies on mission one, being Mown and Aaarrrgh

2): Both Altimis AND Zherog would have to be spies.

That does worry me, yes. But there was just too much about your group I couldn't like.

Of course, Mown's group automatically has one of the problems your group had - assuming he puts himself on the team - with a player from the failed mission.

Yes, but my grouping had the most trustworthy person I've found so far from the Mission 1 group, and the only one I've seen scumhunting. But sadly, it seems that two of the scum have been pretty quiet. Aaarrrgh has been vocal, but that's largely in part to me being vocal about him. The other two are staying hidden in shadows, which is bothering me since that means someone like Roaring Mouse or bentz have a much higher chance of randomly picking them.

Sorry I was working and didn't realize that Neo posted the deadline in EST time. Damn time zones.

I was going to vote no anyway. I had been leaning toward yes but I wasn't confident. I need to read and catch up then I'll post again.

Generally, I agree that not voicing your vote is a good idea if you don't have anything significant to contribute. However, at the same time, if you do or don't want the mission to go through, it's hard to convince someone without stating your stance on the topic.

So, I guess I should make a plausible team, instead of an opinion test, as it's the third proposal. I have a few options to choose betwen, not entirely sure yet what to go for.
Mown | Roaring Mouse | Bentz | seTiny Using the logic that alt and Zherog is the same alignment, it makes sense to either include or exclude both, and excluding both provides the most amount of information. However, inviting the three least vocal people is pretty troublesome, even if it generally hasn't been any indication of being a spy in previous games. And squinty isn't here for aforementioned reasons.
altimis | Zherog | Mown | Roaring Mouse Sort of the same as above, but putting them on the same team instead. Risky if they can coordinate it, or risky if my theory is wrong. Roaring Mouse is the fourth one because I know he doesn't talk a lot regardless of alignment, unlike the other two.
altimis | Zherog | Roaring Mouse | X Only if people are very opposed to having me on the team, but I've said my stance about excluding yourself before, so I don't think anyone will let me hear the end of it if I try to.
Zherog | Altimis | razorborne | squinty_eyes Try to force a team with 3 spies and look at what happens. Probably not choosing this one.
Mown | aaarrrgh | Zherog | altimis If you wanted me to put together the team that I think has the statistically most beneficial result. However, I see it as extremely unlikely to go through, which makes that irrelevant.

All things considered, I'm probably going with the first option, unless I have some revelation. I haven't actually looking at the yes/no pattern yet, so that comes first, before I settle on something. aaarrrgh accepting it is probably the most interesting part that I need to take into consideration.

@Mown I like your first option for a team. I'm hesitant to believe Alt is Resistance. It's very difficult to read him, sometimes it seems like he wants people to be suspicious of him. But my judgement might be clouded by the previous games I've played with him, so I won't entirely discount his loyalty.

I would have voted no on the previous team since I wasn't sure how I felt about having a player from Mission 1 on a team. However if Mown is a spy and Mission 2 failed at least we'd only have 6 possible people to suspect instead of 7. I still would prefer a team with no Mission 1 players. So I think I might vote no.

I am not opposed to you not including yourself on your team given the circumstances.
Sure I suspect you less than the other two, but that doesn't change the fact that I feel we should have a team that completely excludes you, razor, and ARGH.
The one that I'd prefer is A/Z/RM/X.
The next best one is A/Z/M/RM. And even then I'm only inclinded to accep that one given the following line up of leaders.

If you care.

If you go with team one I think I would prefer Altimis rather than Bentz. Bentz seemed a little too gungho about the first mission. Says there isn't much information to post on though this was after Mission 1 had failed, Mission2.1 was rejected, and Mission 2.2 was proposed. As well as the multitude of posts from people.

Right now my top three spies are Aaaarrgh, Bentz, (squinty or zherog).

Aaarrrgh because even though he has posted a lot he it is mostly to attack others, and claim he isn't a spy. He hasn't changed my opinion since I posted this:
Case 2 of 3

Bentz because of what I posted above.

Squinty as I said before, with his mock team pick only had to replace one town with another if he was a spy. Coincidentally he chose Roaring Mouse instead of Bentz from those left. Instead of picking that team he went a completely different route, so I'm unsure of him.

Zherog I thought he was at work after the convention, so I gave him a town lean early on. However he said it wasn't the case. So I don't know how to read his posts just yet.

so your theory #1:
spies are: aaaarrgh,bentz,zherog:
mission 2.1: if both aaaarrgh and me voted yes we would go on a mission with exactly one spy: 2:0 for spies.
mission 2.2: if both zherog and me voted yes to go on the mission with exactly one spy it would again be 2:0 for spies.

if spies are aaaargh,bentz,squinty:
mission 2.1: if both me and aaaargh would vote yes we would go on a mission with exactly one spy.
mission 2.2: squinty deliberately chose another spy for the mission, and aaaargh went alone with it.

while possible that we are just very sophisticated spies, the theory is weak IMHO.

I got to tell you that I had to vote no for the proposal to gather more information, but there were nothing in the votes that made me think that squinty offer is not good.
Roaring mouse's lack of interest in the game is a resistance material (being a spy is much more interesting).

So can anyone give me a good reason why squinty,RM,razorborne and myself can't be all resistance?

I also change my opinion about life&death. we have 2 tries to find a resistance team and stick with it - I think that the team proposed by squinty should be one of these tries.

razorborne explained it:
by your prespective, assuming you are resistance
most likely there was one spy on mission 1, so there is 33.33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333...% that anyone on mission 1 is a spy.
while there is 40% that anyone outside the mission is a spy.
assuming you go on a mission with 3 others outside the first round team - there is exactly one combination that is without spies (out of 10). you really don't want to go in this line.

At that point you would have been two of three that weren't on the team and voted yes. When the mission failed it would have made you, aaarrgh and mown very suspicious.

bentz wrote:

If I had to guess. (if squinty is a spy and not zherog), then squinty and aaarrrgh voted yes in the hopes two spies would vote success. Unless the spies can fail both mission 2 and 3 they need some brownie points for mission 4 since it needs two of them.

bentz wrote:

For that team to be all resistance it would mean that either Aaarrgh and Mown are spies OR Altimis and Zherog are spies. The first part could be true, but that would mean that aaarrgh took a risk and brought another spy on the first mission. The second part could be true but I think Altimis has been trying to scumhunt this game and has a resistance lean in my eyes.

if you liked the team of squinty, rm, razorborne, and bentz, why did you vote no?
