Honesty, I really only wanted to make the Excellent References joke, the rest just kind of fell out because I couldn't find a way to end the bit.

It was well done, thanks for that.

Kind of hoping that "May we always be found" catches on around here as a phrase...

If it does, can we rename this place from the M:EM to Fblthp Memorial Library?

The best part is, "Get Lost" then becomes a much more severe insult. It's now more akin to "Go to H***," or "F*** you," or "V*** down."

If anyone needs me, I'll be watching Soultaker, starring Joe Estevez.

Does anything really *star* Joe Estevez?

No.

But now I'm watching Werewolf, so I guess we'll see!

So, just out of curiosity... do we have somebody curating the active votes right now, closing them and archiving at the appropriate time and making announcements?

Somebody is taking care of that, since I'm pretty sure I got an email last week about active votes up for the week.

Closing and archiving, I don't know.

So, in unrelated news, they are absolutely TEARING THROUGH Legend of Korra. I'm... kinda freaked about that. If I didn't know they had another season on the way, I'd swear they were trying to kill the show.

Three weeks and Five episodes, up to seven NEXT week. That's just insane... Then again, at the same time, I'm finding myself getting a little impatient with some of these plot points.

Luna's got everything covered, as far as I've heard, vote-wise.

This week, there hadn't been anything put up for vote before the Sunday time period for which I could have sent out the announcement. Szat's works were posted minutes before midnight, after the major user of this account had fallen asleep.

I'm a tad behind on Archiving works that have already been Accepted, though I only have last week's votes and I believe Live for the Moment (which had been delayed first because of private conversation over the censor, then just a general lack of time) to put up. I'm still keeping track of things.

For some reason, I've got the Ducktales theme stuck in my head. I just thought you'd all like to know that...

For some reason, I've got the Ducktales theme stuck in my head. I just thought you'd all like to know that...

Reading this triggered the following conversation with my brain:

Brain: [In a sing-songy voice] "Some times, some crimes..."
Me: That's the song from Rescue Rangers, not Ducktales.
Brain: *shrugs* "Go slipping through the cracks..."
Me: Is this about to be a thing, brain? Really?
Brain: "But these two, gumshoes..."
Me: *sighs* Thanks, brain. Thanks a lot.

So, I now have the Rescue Rangers song stuck in my head. Thought you all might like to know that.

Your brain is indeed wise. Actually, I never really noticed how similar the songs are. If the beginning of Rescue Rangers were a bit faster, they'd be almost the same.

badadad-DUM
Daring duck of mystery, champion of right
Swoops out of the shadows, Darkwing owns the night
Somewhere some villain schemes
But his number's up

(3-2-1)

Darkwing Duck (When there's trouble you call DW)
Darkwing Duck (Let's get dangerous)
Darkwing Duck (Darkwing, Darkwing Duck!)

... you see where this went right?

Though now I'm going to go listen to the Gargoyles theme for a while

One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of gargoyles.
