at this point we can figure out pretty easily what we're guaranteed to play. 4-drops I'd rather play than Aven:

Su-Chi
Deep Analysis
Ernham Djinn

maybe Thalakos Drifters but with our low actual madness count I don't know if I want the spotty evasion more. and Repel but I don't know how often we want to play that on-curve.

so yeah I think we have room for the Aven. plus with our low curve the tapped nature of Thicket is a big deal.

Aven is actually unplayable in this format. It's only "good" in Slide decks.

Tranquil Thicket is very good.
