I suppose I could repost Magic: The Musical one line at a time. That should help a bit... :D

Graaaaagh! I am SO CLOSE to finishing Wild Card right now. I have just a little more left, but even if I can get it written, I'll need to proof and then polish it all.
It's so bloody close!
Then I can finish working on FtV and move on to something new. The one catch after this though... is that I have another Alessa story just waiting in the wing and I'm not sure if I can handle penning Free Will after wrestling with the monster that Wild Card became...
I've written longer stories, but this one has just needed so much more work. Actually upon review, it's not THAT much shorter than some of the longer stuff I've done. Which is... scary in its own way.

Jeez... it's already longer than Shadows and coming up on Sorin v Tibalt. Blurgh... no wonder it's taken me so long.

@Squinty:

The sheer volume of posts in that board continues to baffle me.

@Barinellos:

Woah O_O I thought this was supposed to be a shorter story.

Just wait until Magic 2015 gets going. I mean, if you thought it was bad when they were precon decks with 10 cards that could be interchanged, just imagine how much those guys will have to say about it when they can build whatever deck they come up with based on the overall card pool!

I'm as mildly surprised as you, but no, it's +10k words already.

@Orcish:
I continually search for some place to use bits from Bison. There has to be a place for the "For me it was Tuesday" sort of speech.

I didn't even realize this was a thing. I just searched YouTube for "Yes Yes."

It's like a whole new world has opened up to me.

I just wish I could figure out an effective way to mobilize this level of passion, but as far as I can tell, trying to figure out the absolute optimal way of beating Duels doesn't really translate outward to other creative endeavours :| Or wiki content... or main page content...

Primarily, it's a specialization problem. The amount of people interested in Magic: The Gathering is relatively high. The amount of people who are interested in playing Magic over a digital format is a decently large subset of that, and those interested in DotP is again a large subset thereof, resulting in a relatively high volume of people willing to discuss it online.

Conversely, the number of people interested in Magic flavor is, by direct comparison, small, and that subset has to narrow its focus considerably before it gets to us. The bulk of the posts in this subforum come from less than a dozen people. I have no idea how many make up the "core" of posters over there...

That being said, though, we still rock! :cool:

It's pretty astonishing, given that size difference, that in the last couple of months our production rate and post count has skyrocketed to the point where we're on the verge of overtaking boards dedicated to actually playing the game.

It's honestly partly you Keeper.
We're all just trying to impress you.

That is very, extremely true.
