Yeah, I might ditch AoT if the next couple of episodes don't do it for me.

WtC is pretty freaky. I'm not sure yet if it's just different perspective or some sort of looping.

When They Cry. It's the other anime I mentioned alongside AoT.

Fair enough. Google gave me no reasonable results.

From what I could tell, most people simply call it Higurashi.
You will NOT mistake it for something else.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the name though. Looking up Where They Cry the other night made me run into the sequal I didn't know existed: Unimeko.

Why isnt it it doing it for you? Out of curiosity.

Well, I'm only three episodes in so far, so keep that in mind.

1. I don't care for the titans other than the skinless Superdude. Makes me think of people getting attacked by Bob's Big Boy. Titans being a not insignificant part of this series, it's probably going to grind on me.

2. The next two episodes were pretty slow compared to the first, episode 2 being "run further away & argue" & episode 3 being "fail at broken suspenders, then succeed at not broken suspenders".

I'll give it another couple of episodes. I get that they needed to establish setting & characters & now that they've mastered Spiderman suspenders, things can start to happen. It may just have been the effect of coming off of Kill la Kill, being more in the mood for action.

:bump:

So.

Anyone want to discuss anime?

How often do you all go back and watch a show you've already seen? I mean, I know some people have the policy of "Never rewatch anything" but I'm still curious.

I generally repeat a series I liked uncountable number of times.
I know for a fact that the number of times I've gone through Baccano is no less than 10.

Have been falling a little behind on the weekly airings because of limited time and lack of enthusiasm. A lot of the shows are just too mediocre to care about.
Been watching Ghost Hound in some of my spare time, which I'm not entirely sure what to think of.

Throw some recommendations at me, I'm in a rut of watching Baka and Test and Air Gear and I don't like it anymore.

Well... there's always the thread in my sig. Got an op with 50+ links in it.

Um.... off the top of my head I would say to go watch Cowboy Bebop, Stein's; Gate, Trigun, or Puella Madoka Magica. Not in any particular order. Or if we are feeling particularly popular-show-like Naruto Shippuden or Kill-la-Kill (beware of fan service in Kill-la-Kill though).

Ghost Hound: I stopped watching when the magical elements of the show started being treated as something real rather than as an abstract metaphor for the damaged psyches of the characters. That said, the driving force behind the plot is emotional numbness and despair, which seems like something that would appeal to you.*

Baka and Test: oh my, you must REALLY be in a rut.

Black Lagoon: If you like Quentin Tarantino movies, you'll love this. At least, you'll love the first season. The second season kinda sucks after the first arc.

What I would recommend:
Well, it all depends on what kind of show you like. What other shows have you enjoyed? Also, your sig shouldn't say "whom". Objective and subjective tenses and whatnot.

I go back & rewatch stuff every once in a while when the mood strikes. Ghost in the Shell, Scryed, Guyver, Evangelion, etc.

I have a terrible queue of A BUNCH OF STUFF to get through atm before I dedicate time to things I've already seen though. A combination of a few anime series as well as non anime movies & series.

Try Barakamon, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Haikyuu! if you want AotS.
Still waiting for Aldnoah.Zero to go somewhere.
Finished Ghost Hound. Not entirely sure what to think. Not that I ever really cared about the plot, but I was expecting some unveiled mystery, not an action ending.
