Yes you are, but fortunately, I know how to use Google. Fear of holes.

The DVD commentary for Muppets in Space has Kermit the Frog leave and stop providing commentary halfway through the film, only to come back at the end saying he ended up in the DVD commentary for another film. Apparently he mistook Jar-Jar Binks for a muppet (:.
John Lennon once referred to the band Electric Light Orchestra as "the son of the Beatles".
You can survive unprotected in the vacuum of space for about 3 minutes without major lasting effects. Of course, you'll lose consciousness within 15 seconds, so i don't recommend trying.

All three of these are actually quite interesting.

The country of Lesotho is completely surrounded on every side by South Africa.

Hero of Alexandria invented the vending machine, something akin to hypodermic needles and the steam engine (unless somebody beat him to it, but descriptions of the previous invention are to vague to be sure). He did all this in the first century AD.

The Amish were among the first adopters of solar power. It allowed them to be less dependent on the outside world.

To this very day Afghani gunsmiths produce fully-functional replicas of guns that invading forces used against them more than a century ago.

Now that's just weird.

pantophobia refers to the fear of everything and not the fear of pants as it's name suggest..however i guess that would include pants...

In Texas, it's against the law for anyone to have a pair of pliers in his or her possession.

Alaska law says that you can't look at a moose from an airplane.

In Memphis, Tennessee, a woman is not to drive a car unless a man warns approaching motorists or pedestrians by walking in front of the car that is being driven.

In Kentucky, it's the law that a person must take a bath once a year.

Sound logic. Have you any phobias TS?

@Squinty : Hooray for dumb laws. In the town I grew up in its apparently technically against the law to wear blue jeans or for women to wear heels while on the sidewalk.

I can only assume that this was a desperate attempt to patch a loophole in helicopter hunting regulations. Or maybe a way to give a leg-up to the groundbound moose-counting industry.
Man, legislators really need to do period legal clean-up. Get rid of the laws that don't make sense.

Isn't it illegal to shoot a moose in Alaska in general?

Also, wouldn't it make more sense to say "you can't shoot a moose from a helicopter or airplane"?

In Massachusetts, it is against the law to put tomatoes in clam chowder.
(I'm actually in favor of this one)

In San Francisco, there is an ordinance, which bans the picking up and throwing of used confetti.

In California, a law created in 1925 makes it illegal to wiggle while dancing.

In Georgia, it's against the law to spread a false rumor.

I forget where, but there is actually a law on the books somewhere that if a dog bites the mailman, the mailman is not allowed to bite back.

You have to wonder what made some of these laws relevant.

Your body is creating and killing 15 million red blood cells per second.

There is one slot machine in Las Vegas for every eight inhabitants.

When glass breaks, the cracks move faster than 3,000 miles per hour. To photograph the event, a camera must shoot at a millionth of a second.

The first product to have a bar code was Wrigleys gum.

Beluga whales can swim backwards.
Ship's Cat was an actual rank in the British navy for many years.
The country with the largest navy in the southern Pacific is not China, but the USA.
"Destroyer" is actually short for "torpedo boat destroyer".
In 1910 the American navy conducted experiments on the feasibility of aircraft carriers. The Wright brothers only took flight in 1903.

Why would China have a large navy in the Atlantic? Now if you meant the Pacific....
