Not technically a creature, but that's how it will be played so development would probably count it as one. Combos with more engrave too.

Should it be lifeloss or discard instead? I'm trying to find a balance with a slight negative effect that could potentially be put to use. Maybe a not quite symetrical effect of some sort?

I like sacrifice, since it's the only one of the three options that I could see you ever hardcasting the spell for (in limited). Plus it encourages the engrave deck.

Can't block on black aggressive cards is so overdone. I tried to come up with a card that incentivizes attacking without forcing you to (so basically a Carnophage ripoff). Wheeeeeeee.
