Just remembered my other class I was working on for 4E... but then again, I'm just not a fan of 4E and have very little experience with it.

I like working on settings and stories more than building classes and items.... but I should learn to do the later at some point.

Speaking of which, I'm working on three settings simultaneously right now. Things are getting messy. =X

Mostly just getting a framework for each so that I can build upon them as ideas randomly happen rather than having three separate world building extravaganzas.

Guess the contests I tried to get going were a flop. All of two entries in both contests combined. Anyone have any ideas of how to get more people to participate?

I sort of wanted to contribute but then I didn't.
I blame 3.P apathy and not bothering to look at whatever my item should cost or use as spell requirements.

For me...it's mostly about not knowing what the heck I'm doing. I came up with 3 ideas, but, when looking, I realized that they basically all exist already...(the item, not the spell)

Well thats why I mentioned that the people who know these sorts of things should start some sort of workshop or FAQ ...

I've played in several games and several systems, but I dont know much at all about most of the stuff in various splat books, high levels, or how to go about crafting items or homebrew. Several of the players that we have around here seem to be mostly on the learning curve as well and thus not likely to take the plunge when they look at the daunting task ahead of them.

All this talk of alternate Earths because of TrappedSlider setting up the ITA stuff, combined with my own map building, has made me curious about making a game that took place using earths map but had different countries and what not.

Even if it was high fantasy.

We need more map-making discussion around here. I love designing maps and actually getting halfway almost decent at photoshopping stuff.

I can do maps by hand but I don't really do stuff on the computer.

Still would be something worth sharing... I like seeing what other people have done and such.

I like both hand drawn and digital art. In fact when it comes to digitial maps most of the stuff I like doing is taking hand drawn stuff and making it into brushes for Photoshop. Schwarzkreuzhas a lot of good stuff in that regard.

The ones I have are already up with the Hoi Lan Fa thread. My map goal right now is to take my world map and make a really large version with more detailing so I can take parts of it as blanks to draw political maps, etc. on them. I love the gifs on Wikipedia that show the change in territories over time and I want to be able to do that.
