I don't mind that it's not technically a creature (it's close enough) but I don't like tribal in this set. We're not going to have actual tribal themes, so it's just another card type for no reason, right? It's just flavor text except for the silly interaction with Consult the Elder Trees.

Ah, if only we could add critter subtypes to noncritters without making them tribal. Curse you official rules, curse you.

I'm sure you saw this coming.

My rationale was so that the artifact deck could say "Spend this mana only to cast artifact or Artificer spells or to activate abilities of artifacts or Artificers." Tying artifacts and spells together. Tribal being the 8th card type in a card type block is just gravy.

I'll vote against tribal, but we could have a new subtype, "Artifice," Then you could say artificers or artifice.

Was going to ask for a build-around rare, but we seem to have a few of those already.

Criteria - Colorless uncommon permanent with an activated ability.
Lands qualify, Engrave does as well.
Try to keep sacrifice costs out of the picture if they're artifacts. We sort of have enough of those, despite our theme.
