Nothing too serious, just some stuff I want to put out here.

As I've mentioned, I've had to get a summer job because I have no classes this summer (I was supposed to have one, but no one signed up) So I went back to my old job at a hotel for a couple days a week. This job pisses me off to no end. It's a relatively small hotel (65 rooms) so much of my time is downtime. The rest is spent trying to fix the various and myriad mistake of my coworkers, few of whom seem to share my opinion that overbooking is inherently unethical. So anyway, the point is, I am alternatively bored and infuriated while I'm here.

In the time where I am bored, I typically read/write magic-related stuff, and will likely do so again once I settle back into the job. I used to write here all the time. In fact, most of what I've written that you guys have seen that is older than about 10 months or so was written right where I'm sitting now. However, since I'm still relearning all the things I joyously forgot ten months ago, I don't feel like I can spend too much time writing.

I have instead decided to spend my downtime reformatting Magic: The Musical to get that posted here, thus fully completing the migration. There are, however, a few frustrations with this. First of all, I wrote that on my old computer. The one that died. Without my having the foresight to back things up. So, I lost my original version of the Musical. That's not that big of a deal, though, since I had posted it to the old boards, and saved it again when I got my new computer. However, it does mean that what I have is the old board's formatting, translated to Word formatting, which now has to be translated to this board's formatting. And since the formatting of the old boards is, how do I put this gently, a digital crime against humanity, the process is going to take a while. I'm only three songs in and already I'm exhausted by the process. But it will get done, albeit slowly.

On an unrelated note, my car is dying. I'm taking it in tomorrow to see how badly and how quickly, but pretty soon I'm going to have to make that age-old decision of whether to spend a little lot of money on fixing it, or a WHOLE lot of money to get a new one. So that's not making me too happy, either. The irony that I likely won't make enough this summer at this unfortunate job to pay for either decision is not lost on me, I assure you. Basically, what I'm saying is it's going to be a long, long summer for me.

Okay, that's enough complaining. Time to get back to work.
