Welp, that roll sucked. It should be a total of a 12, I think, though I doubt the target actually has a Ref of 12.

I don't know why I keep mistaking the Diva's Memory ability for the Halfling's Luck ability. Sorry peeps.

Was that on purpose?

EDIT: Finally a good turn! Please tell me that bastard is dead.

And this is the end of Xilvan. As promised, you can describe his demise, Shockwave. Otherwise I will describe and close the encounter.

@Everyone

How is the level of difficulty until now? Is there anything that you like me to change at combat or RPing parts?

I'll go ahead and post in character Xilvan's demise. Seems we have a hint, but without someone to interrogate afterwards we still don't have much to go on. But that makes me that much more curious to find what's ahead.

Personally, I like it. We're low level, fights should be hard. Well, let me take that back - what do I have to do so Du'tok doesn't die? If I die...I'll change my answer :V

The fighting feels interesting with a decent amount of challenge to it. First fight was tough, but betweem the bad rolls and poor tactical choices it became a lot harder.

Nice to have a peek into the goblins motivations also.

Either way, don't think Du'Tok is up for reincarnation yet with a Warlord nearby.

I shot a goblin a few times then looked at a door. I don't see what everyone is complaining about when they mention difficulty. :D

Edit: So are we free to roleplay now or what? I know combats over but is there something the DM want to say first or something? Just curious before I start writing dialogue.

I think we are free to RP now, combat encounter has been ended.

With the current status, Du'tok faced 3 fights and almost died in two. If the trend continues, I see he will almost die at least 40 times in this game. I believe he will get used to it after the tenth time or so. :)

Now seriously speaking, you should consider changing your weapon for a one hand weapon and a heavy shield when possible, this extra point of damage average doesn't have the same value of less 20% chance of being hit. This may help him staying alive.

You are. Beating a few goblins is not exactly a world shaking event that needs a flowery description. I guess surviving is special... for you. Unless you want more info, I have nothing important to add.

And before I forget. The deadline for moving ahead is seven days from now.

Better move before I throw a random encounter or do something really stupid with your characters.

PS: Garren, you can have the same experience of the other characters, which means 238 XP.

Garren, Xilvan ordered the door opened during combat, that crazy goblin, and his follower opened it on command. Door is open.

Wait what he did? I didn't recall the goblin actually getting around to it. I though you guys killed it before it did. I'll go edit my post then. Thanks for the heads up.

I've soft deleted the message for now but can I get confirmation the door is open? I found the bit when the prophet ordered his minion to open it but nothing actually saying he had a chance to open it. After the order was given all the goblins died in fact.

Xilvan climbs the rope ladder and stars to move over the terrace, sending a bolt of dark divine energy at Du'tok direction. The bolt misses, almost hitting the goblin sharpshooter. Xilvan yells to his lone companion oblivious to this occurrence.

Leskyn

The other goblin looks at him incredulous, but he knows it's best to say nothing and obey.

The part I highlighted I'm pretty sure implies the order was carried through. But that said it wouldn't hurt to make sure this is what our DM (True_Believer) meant.

I thought that might be the case but on the Goblin Sharpshooters turn no mention is made to it actually opening the door - just that it stabbed Du'tok. That's where I got confused (and thus spent my last combat turn doing basically nothing).

The goblin never opened the door, because of Du'tok. First he blocked its path to the lever, then he killed it. He had the intention, but he didn't open it.

Then I'll open it. My mistake.

Just saying so we can save some unnecessary rolls. As long as one player is alive at the end of the fight, the whole group will survive. No need to make any rolls, any attempt of healing (to recover damage) outside of the fight at another player is an automatic success independent of how clumsy it is.
