Elvish Aberration is moderate fat that helps us get to better fat like super-gnarlids or scaled wurms. Fat wins games. do the math.

Aberration might be useful.

Enraged Revolutionary works for me. There's some decent red stuff that gets passed around, and his increase in size scales with the game. He's effectively a 3-mana 3/2 that might become a 4/3 or a 5/4, at which point you're winning. Red also has some common enchantment that gives +1/-1 with each r you spend, so it's basically premium removal and, from my experience, gets passed late.

Charging Rhino. Aggro does not work here. A 2/1, even with Dethrone, will not take us far. It needs to have a better base p/t or else some ability that makes it more survivable (First strike on Grenzo's Cutthroat, Hexproof or ophidian on the blue ones.). By contrast, a 4/4 is basically always relevant: when you're winning, when you're behind, in the first couple boards (expect wipes in this format) or late in the game. It's not always going to be dominant, but that's OK. It means not everyone at the table is going to instantly point a removal spell at it. (not that bombs are bad, they aren't, but having something good enough to have presence but not so big it draws immediate hate is kinda nice. you can slide under for a few swings)

If Gnarled pack is good, isn't Enclave Elite as well?

Yes, and landwalk is really good, too. Elite.

True, but we're not in blue yet, we're in green. I'm one of those annoying people who can and will draft monocolored.

Frankly though, Elite's not a bad pick at all.

Elite. Might just be a medium creature, but it could also take a blue player out of the game in short order.

Rhino. I rather stay open for now, and Rhino is decent enough to keep me there.

I drafted a deck similar to this last night, including hydra omnivore. There are cards that blow out mono-colored decks, and red is an amazing support color that tends to be wide open. I'm sticking with my pick.

Having played with howling wolves x lots and seen grudgekeeper on the table in this format, I'm tempted to basically hate the Grudgekeeper. If we get a couple Tyrant's Choice or Bite of the Black Rose, it could be worth it, and even if we don't have any Will, I'd run it should we support black, since someone at the table will letting us sap folks as we please.

That said, we kinda committed to howling wolf tech before I got that experience, so take the wolf and pray for some muzzio's preps

Grudge Keeper is borderline unplayable. Silverchase fox, sporecap spider, and the token generator are superior picks.

Have yet to draft or see a grudgekeeper. But I don't think there are nearly enough vote cards for the keeper and rep to matter.

Grudgekeeper is really good, but not worth breaking our theme for.

Wolf.
We're only in pack 1 and we've already seen three of these. We can probably count on at least one more. Throw in another conspiracy to support these guys and you've got the core of our deck.
