Aaaaargh, need to fix my feats. I made sure to check up and... feinting is USELESS for a ranged character. I'm starting to think that archery may have been a poor choice for a rogue, but it does leave Seija's fragile hit points better protected than trying to dagger it up. It just takes away the easiest ways to deny dex bonus and get sneak attack, that's all...

EDIT: Useless 1&2 (Combat Expertise Expertise and Improved Feint) are now Point-Blank Shot and "Less Friendly Fire Please" (Precise Shot)

Sheet

@ Tevish - Looks good so far. I'll go over it and check the maths and everything a little later but at a glance it all looks right.

@Storyteller
Okay then let's move onto your skill points! I can see form your sheet you've already marked out what your class skills are (which is a relief, that would have taken ages to type) which just leaves the distribution of points. Now you get 10 skill points per level as a Bard (6 + your 4 Intelligence modifier) and another 6 points from being a Wizard (2 + 4 Int Modifier) for a grand total of 26 points.

You can distribute these points as you chose among any skill you so chose; however bear in mind three things. Firstly because you are a third level character you can not put more than 3 points into any single skill. Secondly so long as your put at least 1 point into a class skill you will gain a +3 bonus to that skill (the sheet will add this bonus for you). Finally you will note a number of skills are written in blue italics. These skills are trained-only - if you want to use that skill you will have to put at least 1 point in it.

So yeah - divide your skill points up as you like and note it down in the 'Rank' column of the character sheet. You can find a full list of skills and what they do here though if you need any advice or clarification please feel free to ask!

@ Ace of Moxes
Yeah I think we can handle one more. You need any help with the character creation process?

@Storyteller
Okay let's do Race and Class Features.

Firstly for Racial Features you can check here for the abilities elves get. If there is any bonus you don't particularly like feel free to have a look through the 'Alternate Racial Traits' just beneath that - it allows you to swap out certain racial features for new ones. If you chose to use one all I ask is that you tell me what you took so I don;t have to open a half-dozen pages to find out what it was okay.

For class features you gain the abilities of a 2nd Level Bard and a 1st Level Wizard. You can see what abilities you get by checking the charts on the class pages. Most of the abilities are pretty straight forward and work as they come out of the box. For those that involve math or choices;

Bardic Knowledge gives you a +1 bonus to all Knowledge Skills (record this in the Misc column of the skills section).
Bardic Performance can be used for 8 rounds per day (4 + 2 Charisma Mod + 2/level).
You will need to pick what skills 'Versatile Performance' effects - you can find the list on the class page.

As for Wizard you have two choices to make.
Arcane Bond - you can chose between a magic item (amulet, ring, staff, wand, or weapon) that will allow you to cast a spell you didn't prepare once per day or you can gain a familiar - a small intelligent magical creature that will accompany and assist you on your journey. Familiars can be chosen from this or this list.

Arcane School - As a wizard you must choose to be a member of an arcane school. Your school will provide you additional powers at the cost of also having to choose two additional schools that you are weaker with (called forbidden schools). You can also choose to be a Universalist Wizard instead (that is a wizard who does not specialize).

In brief the schools are;
Abjuration deals with magical wards, barriers and the control of magic
Conjuration deals with summoning items and creatures to your aid
Divination deals with seeing the future and scrying over vast distances
Enchantment deals with magic that manipulates peoples emotions and thoughts
Evocation deals with channeling raw magical energy into destructive effects
Illusion deals with magic that misleads and deceives the senses
Necromancy deals with the flow of life and death
Transmutation deals with change allowing you to alter yourself and others.

I quick question. Would it be more beneficial to school in the same area (focus on a single type of magic) as my bard focus or to diversify?

9, 14, 12, 11, 15, 6. I'm thinking either divine caster or 2WF ranger.

The best way to look at it is this; your bard is going to have a pre-set spell list then doesn't change all that much - mostly this is going to be focused on Illusion and Enchantment. Your Wizard spells have the benfit that you can change them around each day allowing you to prepare spells for specific situations.

For the most part I tend to focus on variety as the more important role.

That's the fun part of the Planescape Campaign setting - everything is connected to the planes! You can be a worshiper of literally any god you can find in any campaign book; be it forgotten realms, greyhawk, pathfinder, or even stuff like the Norse or Egyptian gods.

Yeah. Only thing that needs be done is check that the domains still exist. If they don't I'm sure we can find a close enough match for it.

Is there a trait you have in mind specifically? Most of the time I would say no but I could be wrong. Depends on the specific ability.

Updated equipment. All that is left is to give my character a background and why my he has traveled to the planes. I've pretty much already decided just need to write it on my character sheet.

Last link is still good.

Like, does Illusion School trait of extended illusions affect Bard illusion spells?

Having reviewed the ability I'd have to say; yeah it effects your Bard spells. Obviously it's still based of your Wizard level but other then that it's fine.

Hm. I think I have most of what I need for racial/class traits up. Could you review?
Oh, I picked Darkvision > Dim Light Vision.

Weapon/Armor proficiency I left off since it was going to be a huge list. Should that be in there?

Well you've still got to jot down your Bard Songs (Countersong, Distraction, Fascinate and Inspire courage +1). Beyond that race/class abilities look good. Just one quick thing of note you get a +2 to Heal for being a member of the Bleak Cabal and a +2 bonus to Perception for being an Elf. You'll need to record these in the 'Misc Mod' column of your character sheet.

After that you need to pick your Feats. At your current level you get two (1 at character creation and 1 at 3rd level). In addition, because you are a Wizard, you get Scribe Scroll as a free feat.

The list of feats can be found here. These are the standard feats for most characters. You may also want to have a look through this and this list as well. It's basically more options though they tend to be more specialized.
