True, but this game is also supposed to be in the future, so I would imagine that his other son would be older then your current character

Its not to bad. While it lowers Satk, Treecko learns some pretty good physical moves, and it sort of balances his stats overall, which isn't a bad thing.

I mean mostly from a RP standpoint, but also because it lowers his Sp Atk, which I would have liked to have made one of his highest stats. But that's okay, I'll roll with it. XD

I say his because my character can't tell the difference between a male and female treecko, and mistakenly thinks his treecko is a male. Someone should probably point his error out to him at some point.

Formula for life is Hp stat x 3 + level, you your treecko should have 17 hp rather then 9
and are you saving Grass Knot or using it on Kermit right away?
Asides from that, any important items like a road kit and pokeballs, your all set

Bit of backstory: both of my parents are bigshot pokemon trainers. They freequently travel the world, get badges, train pokemon, and do all the awesome things worldly pokemon trainers do. Because they are both always away, they left me at home with grampa birch. I want nothing more than to travel, see the world, and be a pokemon trainer just like them, but they forbid it, for whatever reason.

I begged my grandfather to let me go despite my parents instructions, but, much as he thought I had the potential to be a trainer, he couldn't go against my parents wishes. He did however give me my first pokemon to have as a pet (not to train), in an attempt to appease my wishes. A little "here, you can't be a trainer yet, but at least you can have your own pokemon friend."

Of course I wouldn't take no for an answer. My parents were about my age when they started, and I wanted to start too! So I snuck into my grandpas lab, stole a pokedex and some gear, and ran off. I knew that I wouldn't get far in Hoen before my parents came and found me to bring me home, so I snuck aboard a ferry to Johto, and here I am. With no clue where to go next or even really the first thing about being a trainer. But I'm determined.

At some point the defiance of my parents may come back to bite me in the ass, but I'll leave that up to you as GM.

For the record: grandpa Birch supported my desire of becoming a pokemon trainer, just wouldn't go against my parents wishes.
