I'm sorry, but I will blatantly trample hidden sarcasm or complaining or whatever that was with feigned oblivousness every time the person doing so just saved more than $20 bucks and/or an hour of time.

It was neither feigned sarcasm nor legitimate complaining. I was simply being facetious... a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor regarding the situation. If you're going to "feign ignorance and blatantly trample a conversation" at least make sure you understand it first.

I'm very much aware of the price of the game and very much aware I could play it a few years from now...or in fact whenever I want... if I was so inclined. The whole point of the conversation being the jab made by the friend by wordlessly gifting it on the day that my class started up as a temptation to have to resist. They knew I wanted to play the game, and knew I was specifically not purchasing it to focus on other things...thats the joke. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, simply sharing an experience with other Steam users. Spend long enough on Steam and you'll see that people do gag gifts and such all the time to poke fun at each other.

So lets keep the trampling to a minimum cause your constantly doing it continues to stifle otherwise perfectly legitimate conversation.

So Sniper Elite V2 is free until tomorrow.

I have played the game and I can personally say it's not that good. The sniping system is really good. But all the parts where you are not sniping are really really really really really really bad. And since they kind of outnumber the sniping parts.... game wasn't that fun.

But it's still free.

Not good quality but they are "good" 100 free okay games are better than 1 pretty good $60 game any day.

Price is not the only qualifier. Whether or not it is actually worth your time to bother to boot it up and use it is also a very good, primary way to decide if something is worth it.

In this case? No. It is probably not worth your time to play through it. Even though it is completely free. You can do better.

That completely depends on what you want out of the game. There's a good chance I might never play it because I will get the same stuff out of it as I do from tf2. That is randomly killing people. But with tf2 I at least get a fun factor from customization and randomizer and etc.

Price plays a factor somewhat but just because something is free doesnt mean its good or even worth your time... in fact a huge majority of the free games on Steam arent. I'd rather a good title on sale than play a hundred free titles hoping that at least one of them is even decent.

I payed 60 dollars for Skyrim pre-release. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I would never actually purchase Goat Simulator. That the guys monetized it is kinda insulting.

I know a good game when I play it, but not a bad game, unless it's universally awful. I just play games to finish them most of the time.

If you're only playing it to finish it... its not good in my opinion.

Depends in the game. But I am not a normal person so I don't really get the same things out of games as others. Most of the time I care about mechanics, sometimes story. Most of the time I just want to see what happens at the end. Also beating games just to beat them is nothing new, and pretty sure it's extremely common.

Well that music was...annoying. Borderlands always looked neat but I never had money to buy it, or there were other games I'd rather have.

Wubs are the lowest form of music.
