Holy Green Ritual, Batman! Courser of Kruphix, Loxodon Smiter, Leatherback Baloth, and Predator Ooze (among others) probably shouldn't be turn-1-playable.

But sometimes it's fun to be a little ?breakable?.


Sudden Evolution
Instant
Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal an Aura card that can enchant a creature. Put that Aura onto the battlefield (attach it to any object to which it could legally become attached; if there is no such object, place it in the graveyard). Shuffle your library.

I had considered Animate Dead and figured that the "no such permanent" would just make it fall into the grave, just like Volute would. If you're playing it in a deck that runs auras that enchant things that aren't battlefield permanents, you're doing it wrong and you deserve to have the spell do, effectively, nothing for you.

But I guess that shouldn't be in reminder text.

Effing Future Sight making things difficult.

Then again, Curses (Enchant Player) and Animate Dead also muck with it. Fixed it to specify an aura that can enchant a permanent. Actually, being 'evolution' it really should be creature only.
