Mm. The interesting thing about that, though, is that we weren't that active a few months ago. But now... well... for the top four boards there, threads older than one week are visible about halfway down the page.

As Raven pointed out, you have to click to the second page to get to threads that are a week old, here.

That could mean either that our posts are a lot more spread out than other boards, but it could also mean that our activity has dramatically jumped recently, which will, eventually, make up for the slower activity earlier on.

And anyway, even a small victory is a victory nonetheless.

Why is ****ing Dotp the most active place???????

Because people are lazy and prefer to play games inside of strict confines that don't require them to have actual creativity? Since the game has a limited number of decks with limited changes that can be made to them, objectively there are "best" and "worst" decks and their builds so its easy for people to maximize wins due to "netdecking" the results. Otherwise, we'd have a MTGO forum with the highest post count.

Which is somewhat amusing because DotP2015 is going to abandon that shell and give you a complete card pool to build from.

Not entirely correct, they're going to allow you to build out of a carefully selected cardpool, not a more eternal format like Vintage, Legacy or Modern. If they follow their current business model for it, you still won't have mana rocks or anything else like that. The cardpool will probably yield about ten viable decks to be played.

Well, I meant a complete card pool in what they give you in the game, as in not forcing you into using any specific deck type or colors in your construction.
They're cubing it rather than dumping all the cards into the game.

Okay, two days of clinical experience and I can definitely say that it will be easier for me to move the voting week to Sunday. I also would like to remind people that you don't have to wait until the last possible second to put your stuff up for vote. The way I see it, it means you only have one week of voting, instead of 9 or 10 days I'd you put it up early. (Really long works I would probably leave up for two weeks, regardless...)

I'm not sure yet how we tie this in with Sunday brunch, but, gosh darn it, I'm going to make it happen.

Because I love me some brunch.

It's not quite breakfast, and it's not quite lunch, but you get a good meal, and it comes with a slice of cantaloupe at the end!

I don't see any mutual exclusivity there. Those are both lunch items to me.

Just a quick little programming note to say that I'll be sojourning in The Land Of Weak Signals for the next week or so. So, if I seem a little scarce, it's not because I no longer think you are all the hippest cats around, it's just that The Land Of Weak Signals is named as such for a reason.

Cheers!

Aw booo! Well, hope you enjoy your stay in the LOWS!

...It doesn't sound very appealing when I put it that way does it?

I'm just going to think of it as a good place to lie LOWS for a while.

I have a small writing goal as well, so we'll see if I can clear that LOWS bar.

A pirate sailed beneath the skies,
And hollered "Thar she blows!
To find AARRR target, be me highs,
To lose it, thar be LOWS."

So, I now have Sorin v. Tibalt out of the way.
That one has been hanging over me for months, but it's finally done.

And surprisingly, the thing I next turn to isn't what I would have expected. I'd been trying to polish off the Cara intro piece, and then hopefully get to Wild Card, but I've ended up picking Titanic Ultimatum up again instead.
I know I really really have to get Wild Card out soon, but I'm not in the right headspace right now. Aside from that, I have Quest for Ula's Temple hanging around too, on top of everything else.

So yeah, that's my status update for the week. Maybe I'll be able to hammer out Titanic Ultimatum in some degree of expediency, but...
