Hi, I just wanted to pop in and apologize for not being around here much lately. I have very limited internet time, and I have gotten myself involved in several PbP games. And since PbP usually has actual deadlines, I've spent more time in that part of the boards.

I have been working on a story, though, but I need to ask a question: what is the procedure for editing/changing works that are already in the archives? It's a very minor thing, just wanting to rename a minor character that is mentioned in passing in a previous story I wrote, as I'm using that character in a story which includes a more established character with a very similar name.

Visiting the Wizards boards is like visiting a wasteland. Too bad some of the major players over there (Jessica, chinkeyong, razorborne) didn't make it over here/stick around.

What's the name? I don't see a need to go through a bit lengthy procedure for it if it's something very minor.

In Erik and the Wishmonger, I called the main character's daughter 'Elli'. Now, I'm planning on connecting Erik with Ellia the Endbringer (if Tevish is OK with me using her, I'll have to send a PM about that). It would seem weird to have a daughter whose name is almost identical to that of an enemy, don't you think?

Yeah, that would be pretty odd. o_o

Sounds like a reasonable change to me.

I'm fine with Ellia being used in a new story in general, though I'd like to know how. Just drop me a line

The amount of activity and discussion and new material we have seen lately, and especially over the last week, is really exciting! There's a certain energy to the project right now that I hope lasts. This is honestly a pretty exciting time for me, as it relates to the Expanded Multiverse.

So I was thinking earlier today about how awesome it would be to have a plane.

Like, an airplane. Because I was driving for 18 hours.

Yes, although according to Calvin, failing to pay the gravity bill can accomplish the same thing, and I haven't paid mine in years. Yet, to the best of my recollection, no flight.

Fortunately, if you find yourself floating off into space, my understanding is that a well-aimed sneeze can propel you back to earth.

I realize that, but when you said it I realized they were things I wanted to say; like how I'm considering dropping some of the current projects from my intended reading/proofreading.

the secret to flight is pretty simple in concept, but only the really insane tend to try.
You see, you simply fall and then MISS the ground. Fairly easy in concept, deceptively difficult in execution.

Quick, someone write a story where the entire plane functions on the rules (or lack there of) of Calvinball!
