We had one actually. There's still a list on the old site/archive. With the wiki it would be a LOT easier to upkeep it, so it might be worth resurrecting as a Thing.

PRE-EDIT: Keeper beat me to it.
There were actually "Other Characters" and "Other Planes" threads on the mothership, and I have them saved, but I was saving those for last because I have been debating for a while how best to handle them. It might be worth it to have it on the wiki, but I think having and keeping a thread with a bunch of not-developed characters and settings would be more trouble than it's worth. 90% of the planes & characters that would be included wouldn't even merit enough of an impact to have a place on my map anyway.

I would suggest maybe having a thread that says something along the lines of "There are many planes and characters that are implied canon of the M:EM because of their mentioning in Accepted Works. You can learn more about these parts of undeveloped canon by visiting the [link]Expanded Multiverse project page[/link] on the NGA wiki.", but I'm not sure if that's to our benefit or detriment.

Yeah, that's a tough call. On the one hand, the wiki will be more useful to use. On the other, they are technically a part of the archives. Hmm. I'll have to think about that one.

I generally haven't added anything to my map of the Archives that hasn't been featured in two or more stories -- for instance, I didn't add The Wheel until it had a dossier, yet I had Arbagoth without a dossier since it was mentioned in multiple stories.

That's probably a pretty sound plan, Lord Luna. It makes sense to me, anyway.

I've added stuff to the Wiki on a similar basis. If I knew it was of such importance that multiple stories had been voted in, or had at least been written, I added a page for index purposes if the stories would have ended up "uncategorized" otherwise.

This is why Rishima has a placeholder page currently and why Illarion Vale had a placeholder page previously.

So I'd say maybe that characters/planes that obviously are intended for later expansion can have placeholder pages, but otherwise they go on an index page, and then only if they've been mentioned a couple times, or prominently in one work.

Hello everyone.

College is finished for the summer, life is getting on track, and I will finally be able to get back to the group since it moved last year.

Hey Raven, I never see you around these parts. :V

Can't complain. A few huge things went my way, a couple of little things did not.

Sure thing, Master Barinellos.

Nah, you don't have to if you don't want to.
I mean, we have plenty you can read and comment on if you like, but I don't want you to feel any pressure to catch up on anything.

Don't worry about it, I want to. I would be pretty behind if I didn't catch up.

For now, I think I'll plug Disguised Goblin's stuff since it's pretty good and doesn't require any background to enjoy.

I'm not sure how much you've read of other people's works since I haven't been able to pin down exactly when you last were around so....
At the very least, I'm fairly certain you haven't seen the full thing of Legacies, so I'll just plop that down here. I'd put Shadows there too, but it uses characters introduced elsewhere so...
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2218
And there is a new character that I've written two stories for.

Pretty much anything on the front page is fair game. Some of it is currently up for vote, but feedback is always appreciated. Like, seriously. Even just an "I like this thing" is good.

In other news: 8+ hours of safety and regulations finally OVER! I feel so relieved. Now to get to finishing reading Jakkard. And then onward to the other bajillion projects I haven't gotten to yet.

Reiterating this. I've said it before but it stands repeating.

I think you'd just explode if I ever posted everything I'm working on all at once.
Luckily, I'm fairly certain I'd DIE of exhaustion if I tried to stitch it all together for that.

Well, I want to say a few things regarding that:

First, I am fairly certain that the reason I am so behind now (besides the surge in activity we've been seeing lately) was my extended near-absence in the earlier portions of this year, while I was indulging in more poni words than M:EM words. I know there was a nearly one-month period where I was completely absorbed in FO:E and wasn't doing much of anything outside of reading that monstrosity (and I mean that in a good way).

Second, I tend to shut down under too much stress or anxiety -- a trait I feel I inherited from my grandmother. If such an event occurred, I likely wouldn't even attempt it; hell, I'm half-thinking to drop a few of the current projects for vote depending on how much time I end up having this week.

Lastly, I find it interesting you say that, because just recently I was saying how I half-expect from myself one day to finish a half-dozen of my own personal projects simultaneously because of my tendency to work on each a very small amount and then go back to some other project. Like, I'll just have put a finishing touch on one right after the other and say they're all fit for presentation at once. Of course, that's also kind of naive of me given my past history and tendency to not call a product finished.

It was just a joke, I mean, the explode part should have sort of tipped you off to that.
It was also at least half self-deprecating.

Not all of my works are equal in length and the way they've been staggered means there's no way they would all come down at the same time. As well as the fact that I have serious issues with plotting scale. It's really REALLY hard for me to do a short piece with any satisfaction. Like, nearly impossible.

Man, I went back to WotC to see if I could find an old story I wrote in the YMtC forums when jessica_morgan (I forget his original screen-name) did a roleplaying thread.... it was a fun story that was to explain our characters for the game. I did something about a teach and a student who were both int he same area of an academy when the disaster hit and the only way they survived was FMA style (which I hadn't actually seen at the time) soul binding of both of them to a suit of armor. Oh well, it had been a fun story....
