I've always wanted to run a game, and I have access to the necessary books. I've personally never played it, but I've DM'd Pathfinder and D&D 3.0/3.5 for 11 years. Are there any folks around that are intrigued enough to give it a shot with me?

Probably going to do 1920's era, but open to others if people want to try another.

I wish I had the free time for this, I've been wanting to try out Call of Cthulhu for a while now. But having just signed up for the 3.0 game on here I'm back to 'full' on my activity list. DM 2 games and player in 3.

I'll definitely keep an eye out though if any of my games fizzle out.

I'd love to try a Call of Cthulhu game. I'd also be equally excited for a Pathfinder game since it is my preferred system.

How open are you to novice players? I've played a couple times, but always at GenCon with pre-made characters. And I don't, at the moment at least, own any of the books.

Chaosium has a free quick-start rules PDF. There isn't much to it, but it should help.

Also, I too am interested in joining this game, although I have never played any Call of Cthulu.

It'd be my first time running it, so I have absolutely no qualms with beginning players. We'd both be learning.

Well, looks like we have 3 players so far. How many did you want/need to run the game?

3 may just work. I'll start up an official thread probably tomorrow night. About to hit bed.

Any good sites where I could find character creation assistance?

This looks like a good way to do it.

The Quick-Start PDF from Chaosium has some other info.

Hmm.... well, according to the guide, I'll have to roll my stats, so:

Spoiler

Guess I'll try and find out what options for characters I have once I see my stats...

Let's see. Here we go.

Spoiler

So he can't dish out a punch, but he can take one. He is sharp as a tack, but clumsy as an oaf. Sounds like this will be fun.

I'd be interested if we used the d100 system, instead of the vastly interior d20 system.
