What cards and archetypes do you expect to perform well, and what cards and archetypes do you expect to perform poorly?

There is a good article on the mothership about the 10 types of limited deck the set was produced to create. I like the madness deck myself.

So who has been drafting this? I think I am at 8 drafts so far after counting my avatars I have received from the pre-release and release.

Based on my experience watching Shadowchu play this set:
1: Green is OP.
2: Green should be paired with a secondary color that gives it removal for evasive guys.
3: Green is OP.

Green is very good in sealed because the individual card quality is really high. Because of this you're able to play a "good stuff" type deck in which you just splash another color for removal. Based on the quality of aggressive or control decks the midrange decks are really good because they are way more consistent.

However, in draft, I think it's different. Yeah, I've only drafted one time versus 15+ sealed events, but I think that aggressive white decks are really good because the density of two drop shadow creatures and how powerful the one drops are in Benevolent Bodyguard and Deftblade Elite. These guys don't look great but they help push points through. White's removal isn't great but that isn't really a concern when you can play Benalish Trapper and a pile of shadow guys. Pianna and Battle Screech is a two card combo.

I thought there were only 2 2 drop shadow creatures in white.

I've seen a turn-five win off Soltari Trooper, Battle Screech and Rites of Initiation. Guy had no red lands in play, so Rites off Mana Prism were a complete surprise.

I went near mono white yesterday and lost in the final. I was splashing red for Flametongue Kavu and blue for Brago (which together are just insane).

Battle Screech is just broken. If you can get two or three of these then you should win any draft hands down.

We've beaten Battle Screech a lot.

Fact or Fiction is awful in sealed. Ben and I have yet to see someone win a game where it resolved.

The funniest way we've died was Shadow Guy -> Empyrial Armor -> Timetwister

Battle Screech is beatable but it's hands down the best common in the set.

Well, last night on game 3 I mulled down to 4 with one land. The other player goes land, black lotus, su-chi. I got a little lucky on my draws and on their plays but I was able to win that. Wild Mongrel after i eventually drew another land was able to trade most of my hand with su-chi. Drew another land and was able to madness my wurm which was the only thing I kept in my hand. They played Fledgling Djinn during this and kept attacking. I also was able to play Chain Lightning to make the race in my favor.

Somehow I still feel like I lost even though I won the match.
