No need to blow your top about it, OL. The M:EM isn't going to end ahead of its time. We'd need something truly worthy to cap it off with, the very pinnacle of our work. I wouldn't mind, of course, if it really stood head and shoulders over anything else we could create, but we're not ready to crown such an achievement so we can head on over to the OT thread to jaw about this some more.

Hello fellow human, I want to say that this was pretty good.

I did not really know what to expect going in to read this story. At first I thought it might be something meant to be funny (which I am not sure would have worked), but as I continued it had something of its own charm to it. Like trying to explain something profound, but lacking the words for it. The ending also came as a complete surprise without seeming out of place or forced, while also conveying real emotional attachment regarding a race of creatures that are often presented as nonthreatening gag material. What's better, it came without breaking them to be something they are not. In spite of what you would say about this being fan fiction, it doesn't come off that way and instead seems like a real story that could have been made.
