I think the original was fine. At the very most, I would have taken away trample or made it hit every creature including itself (brings out the word tempered, and gives your opponent a way to deal with it at instant speed.)
The new one seems too bad on your end, for the cost. The previous version you want to get out as early as possible to bring on the beats and lose less creatures. This one, is more costed towards a late game where the damage will hit more creatures (whether it kills them or not depends on the set), and it has less of an effect on the game.


Hmm, I like the original too except I was using Desecration Demon as a guide, which happens to be a rare. Hmm...

I, too, liked the original better. I imagine Arqwart missed the "you control" part?

I was busy looking at the 4 CMC, not color heavy 6/6 with trample whose drawback could easily not be a drawback in the slightest. That's fine as a rare (which feels weird to say but it's true), but it was NOT an uncommon in any sense.

Well, I had some kind of vision for a U/R control with the original at 4 cmc. I changed it because I think Arq has a point of it being too pushed as an uncommon.

Sparkrunner is a cool, but seems a bit much for uncommon.
I also don't imagine the blitz dude or lily's to be really uncommon-worthy.

As soon as I saw sparkrunner, I didn't even want to post a design. :p

I would vote for Parad but I think it should be 1RR though, but I think that design should still be in the set, but if we can't vote based on cards changing... and as argued it could be a rare (Keep it for later).

Lily's Weasel thing. It could stand to lose a point of power or go double red (it's basically reccurable removal), but the Glitterfangy ness is pleases me, and it is definitely buildaroundable.
Steinhauser had a neat mechanic, but as much as it showcases impermanence, does it really do much for our set?
Parad's card needs to cost 1 more. even then it would be one of the top red uncommons in the set probably.
Altimis' Gravity Jolt is pretty cool. Makes players want to pick a type and stick with it. Also seems well balanced.
Hello World's card is pretty cool too. Pretty cool in an instant/sorcery themed deck. Stop making my decision so hard dude.

I vote Altimis. Hello World, because it's more build -around.
