This will make it a clearer parody. Or at least attempt to.

Somehow I missed that post.

But that is pretty much the entire reason I hang out in the AF&S and M:EM subforums instead of anywhere else Magic-related.

I enjoy the flavor of magic, the setting, the art. And the stories I've read.

I also enjoy playing among friends, or simple just building decks or ideas for decks for the fun of combo making.

However any time theres are two or more people talking about Magic online in a mets sense it seems to quickly dissolve into a pissing contest. I didnt bother much with the actual Magic boards on WotC... if people werent straoght up trolling it was just one flame war or another because people cant fathom that in a game so large with so many players someone might have a different opinion =X

Well, in recently starting to read "Stand Still. Stay Silent.", I discovered that it's by the same guy who did A Redtail's Dream, so of course the art is absolutely gorgeous. He says it's a post-apocalyptic story, but 32 pages in and it's still the non-apocalyptic prologue, so I can't say how it will turn out. It seems to be shaping up to be aiming for the feels, though, establishing a number of characters with definitive and unique and believable personalities.

Here's an art from the early pages I've read

Why didn't you make a bigger deal out of this and try to appeal to my Scandinavian roots. There seems to be a rather impressive world building going on, and little engrosses me more than that. I also like the respectful use of native language, despite how it means I won't understand all of it.
art

spoilers sort of?

It's a Hard Life is also a somewhat interesting take on a Pokémon comic, not that I really have read enough of them to judge. Nuzlocke style, so expect some deaths. The art style is wonky but pleasant.

@ Mown, re:Stand Still, Stay Silent
To be honest, I had only read like 20-some-odd pages into it when I posted it, and have progressed maybe five more pages since I did? For various reasons, I stopped reading... well, most of the webcomics which I had been reading at the time. The only one I'm even keeping up with at the moment is Paranatural, though I am intrigued by what I have seen of Kill Six Billion Demons. Not that I expect to start reading it anytime soon.

QUICKEDIT: Hell, I haven't even gotten to the post-apocalyptic part of the story yet.

This belongs here more than anything else so......

I am starting to get very disapointed with webcomics. Out of the ones I read, 2/3 of them have stopped updating weekly but they are still full of ads asking people for money. :( And most of the other ones I read have gotten to the point of...... the quality is going down. The only ones I still read and like on a regular basis now are Sandra and Woo and EGS.

One of the funniest ones I've run across in the past year has got to be Manly Guys Doing Manly Things.

Be honest with me, how intentional was that typo?

Not. It was not intentional. God I wish it was.

That would probably make more sense if I had played Journey.

mjack, you did a terrible job of selling EGS. (Back in...May.) Its primary draws are plot, worldbuilding, and character development, not one-strip humor.

Another recommendation for the list: Skin Deep. It's a full-color full-page long-form story that starts out with a girl who goes to college and soon discovers, much to her surprise, that she's not exactly...human. And as it turns out, neither are her friends--the whole world's full of hidden mythological creatures living hidden amongst the human populace or else away from prying eyes in entire hidden towns and villages. The worldbuilding's fantastic and had me hooked right away, multiple standalone plotlines weaving a bunch of interconnected stories together to build a vivid picture of life as a modern, living piece of mythology.

Knowledge knows no bounds.

And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real.

I haven't played Journey, but from what I've heard of the game, that was pretty much exactly how a lot of encounters with other players go. I found it pretty emotional as well. Heart-wrenchingly cute, I guess I could say.

----

On-topic, I've started following another pony-based tumblr-hosted webcomic that is, so far, an anthropomorphized adaptation of the MLP universe into the Black Lagoon setting.

Pretty much from the get go, Mare Internum had my attention and despite being uncertain of what is appealing about it, I find myself anticipating the next updates moreso than most webcomics.

Mare Internum didn't do much for me, but the strip is still young so I may have to come back to it.
In the mean time here's a better representation of The Fancy Adventures Of Jack Cannon than what I gave last time.

My top 3 right now would be EGS, The Last Halloween, and Sandra and Woo.
