Ah, the days of cardboard innocence! We started playing Magic during Urza's block, and I once won a kitchen table game casting this. Somehow we all agreed that it deals four damage to each player too :)

When windfall is best (you have just windfall in hand, your opp has a full grip) you're already winning. Sometimes your opponent will toss their bomb, but sometimes you'll whiff and your opponent won't. Then you just spent a card to lose.

Actually Windfall in an aggro deck would be AWESOME because you don't care what's in your opponent's hand you only want to play more spells.
