Ugh, I've made a mess of everything, haven't I? Sorry to go off on every idea I have like they're all so amazing. I should have just let you guys vote. I forgot that people like doing things individually in a contest rather than working together.

I'm reinstating the vote. Sorry. You don't have to work in teams, but if you beat somebody and you want them to help you, I encourage you to ask. I want us all to be a part of this.

The Bracket

storyteller – Subtype Matters (1)
vs.
Cato – Graveyard Theme (2)

LilyStorm – Ash and Snow (3)
vs.
Fakeartist – Midnight Sun (0)

TPzombieW – Card Type Matters (2)
vs.
Morgothra – Card Names Matter (1)

ParadOxymoron – Postapocalyptic Victorian (2)
vs.
Tevish Szat – Scavenger World (1)

DISCUSSION OPEN. Please write what you want about your favorite submission in an effort to get people to vote for it, or against another's to say why people shouldn't vote for it.

Please vote for one person in each bracket. Brackets were determined by post-time.

As the contest-runner, I won't cast a vote. I do, however, reserve the rights to break ties should they arise. Voting is open to everybody else, including people who didn't submit anything.

You may vote for yourself.

Poll will stay open until Monday, May 5th.

When we decide what the flavor OR mechanics of the set is going to be, we'll open it up to see who wants to propose the other side of the coin that wins.

For example, if flavor wins, then people will be able to submit mechanics. If mechanics win, people will be able to submit flavor.

Cato
Fakeartist (actually, both of these themes could use some explanation)
TPzombieW
Tevish Szat

I guess I'm willing to FUSE, although I have very little idea what the result might loo like.

Wow, I can read. I didn't see that it was a public vote. I swear that wasn't there before...

Graveyard Theme - Personal favorite of mine, plus, it goes well with something later.

Ash and Snow - Honestly, I am neutral, but I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon, rather than fight it.

Card Name Matters - I would love to do something like this, as long as it's similar to the Flame Burst / Muscle Burst. I don't know how I'd take to it with other things, but it 'could' be interesting (Biovisionary jumps to mind).

Scavenger World - This can go well with a graveyard theme. I don't see why these two "options" can't be combined, but if not, I'm in support of Scavengers instead of Victoria.

Type matters. Graveyard's been done before, and then again, and... 3 times now? Time for something new! Have artifacts gain up on enchantments. Time to see whether black loves artifacts or enchantments more. White or green, who's the enchantmentiest? Will there be a land that turns into an artifact enchantment creature? Liquimetal Coating for enchantments? An excuse to reprint Tarmogoyf!?!

Scavenger World. I have no idea what Ash and Snow means. That's uh, really the only motive here.

Graveyard.
Snow, but willing to Fuse (a little extra "ash")

Graveyard matters, because I love graveyards.

Ash and Snow, because it sounds cool.

If we are still doing that fusion thing then that would be great, because snow and scavenging and ash goes with scavenging.

Yeah, we can still do that fusion thing. Lily and Tevish, would you two do me a favor and collaborate amongst yourselves to create a short primer for your world? Doesn't have to be any longer than a paragraph or two. But it would go a long way towards getting people to know what they're voting for.

Same for you, TP and Cato. Depending on which one of you wins, I'll need a primer to go along with your submission so that people know why they should vote for one thing or the other.

TPman has convinced me...
I want a card type matters world. Not for Tarmogoyf.

Ash and Snow

This is the final vote of Round 1. What will we base our set on? TPzombieW's Bottom-Up Card Type matters, or LilyStorm's plane that no longer moves?

I like plane that no longer moves.
That's my vote. I'm curious to see how it gets represented.

I never really got if planes were on planets or not. Many of them have moons and junk but things only happen on the main planet. We need a space travel plane.
