Try playing the challenges to unlock powerful stuff. Some are hard but some are easier than normal play because you start with powerful items.

The game locks away all the easier challenges until you beat mom for the first time. While I keep getting to the depths on a regular basis, I have not been able to do this yet. Thus, only the curse of the labyrinth challenge is going to be any arguably easier to beat.

Well I beat Mom with the Mutant Spider. Which challenge would you guys recommend as the easiest? The one where you become Dr Fetus and shoot bombs, or the one where Super Meat Boy follows you around?

Edit: Never mind. Beat the heart on the next run.

Both of those are pretty easy.

Edit: I misunderstood. Sorry.

I would assume the dr fetus challenge is easy, but I don't know if I buy it for the super meat boy one.

I never considered doing any challenges, come to think of it.
Sort of stopped playing after the polaroid actually did something.

So one of the items on my wishlist went on sale, and I think some one else might care since the steam store is not advertising it.

The Serious Sam Complete Pack, normally 94.99, is currently 23.75. This is cheaper than the first two games combined, and just plain cheaper than the third game.

This includes:

Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, Serious Sam Double D XXL, Serious Sam Classic Revolution (some things I've not played but look awesome)

Serious Sam 3: BFE and all it's DLC (never played it, but have been drooling over it waiting for a sale forever)

Serious Sam Classic 1 and 2

Serious Sam HD: TFE And TSE and the second game's dlc (the hd versions of the classic games, these are both games I would fully recommend for their normal prices; alone justify the bundle)

........ Just for anyone who cares. Some of the silliest yet best fps games of all time.

On a different note, I went from 7 games away from having finished everything in my collection of 24 to whatever that is for a collection of 33.

I now have Rage. I've heard some disappointed commentaries about it, but I'm going to give it a whirl.

But.............. okay I've played for 20 minutes that is it. So far I have:

1. Learned that there are practical applications to strapping a shotgun, a machine gun, and a machine pistol to a chainsaw and then running into battle firing all 4 at once.

2. Learned about the evil monkey jet pack conspiracy. Evil monkeys with jetpacks and shotguns are going to take over the world.

3. Walked to the exit on mountains of my enemies's corpses. No seriously. This is one of the game mechanics.

4. Learned that headless corpses yelling "AAAAAAAAHHHHHH" while running around at twice your speed with ticking bombs are scarier then I remembered.

5. Beaten 1 level of Serious Sam Double D XXL.

Serious Sam is a freaking awesome series man, and all of these games they want $24 for would cost $120 separately.

That game........ was just okay. If you liked Doom 3, then you'll enjoy the actual combat, but .....

It honestly had 2 problems.

1. Too much forced backtracking.

2. Borderlands and Fallout 3 did everything it does better.

For $20 though I was willing to try it last year, and it was at least fun enough to be worth that.

The irony of you spending twenty bucks on rage but refusing to spend similar amounts (or even less in some cases) on games with much better reception and overall more in line with your preferences is beyond mind boggling.

I spent $10 on it. Steam prices never go down.

Also........... much better reception doesn't mean that much to me, and I don't know what "more in line with your preferences" is referring to.

All errors in memory aside, the comment about Steam prices not going down dismissed your cause instantly lol.

Have a good night guy, Im gonna fire up Borderlands 1 and tinker around until I doze off.

Been working on EvoLand lately. I haven't been playing a whole lot, but it's been fun. I'm a little worried I've already got a lot of the visual upgrades, while only having about 1/3 of the Stars so far. I don't know if I missed a bunch, or if the upgrades just slow down a lot after this point.

Dude, that game sounds awesome.

Also, the name reminds me of Evo from the SNES. It was the first game I ever marathoned on a stream. Man, it was fun.
