Agamemnon pushes himself to his feet and looks over the deck with a dumb smile on his face. "I don't suppose our lovely captain could be convinced to postpone this meeting for a few hours? I am fine to continue if I must be I'm afraid Thibor is... grouchy. As for our lost companions I believe I can not say. I believe I saw Graydon wondering around but I've yet to see Quinn since our battle with the beast." Pausing for a moment the gith draws in a few breaths before cupping his mouth and shouting out "Graydon! Quinn! We have need of you! Follow the sound of my voice!"

Graydon eyes Agamemnon from across the deck, his face contorted into an expression of alarm and concern. "I stand taller than a trio of dwarves stacked up like a totem pole. Surely you could see me from a mere dozen yards away?" The goliath scowls and helps Quinn across the deck, following Agamemnon down to the captain's quarters.

Graydon smirks and shakes his head. "My people don't have graves. Rocks are hard to dig through! Though I understand what you're saying is an idiom of sorts, it doesn't translate very well to my culture. I think the only thing I would feel if someone was walking over my funeral pyre would be a flash of pity.

I'm just uneasy, that's all. We've come so far to find this place...and here we are; at a place that was said to be hidden beyond mortal means of discovery. Part of me almost expected we would never reach our destination..."

"So you sense that the captain's believed destination maybe wrong as well... That's a bit... Disturbing, but not of your fault," Jairdem said in a hushed voice as not to disturb the ship's crew. "And their is some truth to the prayers not being answered. I think I only felt a touch of Melora's power and the sea is her domain. Something unnatural is set against us. I don't blaim the captain for her unnease,"

The Captain's Chambers

As the adventurers sans Thibor enter the Captain's chambers, Kilina is stooped over a table with maps and markers trying to make sense of a compass that won't cooperate. She looks up at the four before her and quickly assesses the number of them. "What happened to your Dwarf companion? Tell me he wasn't lost in the chaos?" she asks, concerned.

Kilina shakes her head. "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT?! You took my ship in good faith into the most dangerous, foolhardy, risky situation I've ever sailed into and almost got us all killed! Did you know where you were taking us? Did you know there'd be a sea-monster? Did you know you were going to be risking all our lives?!" She stops yelling and turns away to compose herself.

She sighs, turning back to her guests. "Damn compass won't work." She tosses it aside. "My ship might never sail again. We've lost at least half a dozen crew. None of this was what we bargained for. You're all a bunch of Jonahs. I should never have let you talk me into this." She looks harshly at Quinn. "The black wall ahead of us looks identical to the Isle of Serpents we left hours ago, but every sea-bone in my body is telling me that we couldn't have been so easily turned around without noticing. The compasses don't work, and this blasted fog makes it impossible to see the stars. Tell me, have we reached your mystical island that doesn't appear on any maps? Do you even know that this is the right place?"

Kilina sighs once again. "I have half a mind to leave you all stranded here, repair my ship, and go home. But if I did that and ran into that sea serpent again on the way back, we'd probably be screwed without you." She pauses to think for a moment. "So what's your gameplan? Do you guys still hope to reach your destination or have you had enough?"

"Had enough? This quest has barely begun! To turn back now would be to spit in the faces of the men who died to bring us here! I will find this tomb and I will pierce the black heart of evil that dwells within - and I will do it alone if I must." Agamemnon turns to the others before continuing. "Know that I will not think less of you if you chose to leave now. If the battle with the serpent has planted doubt in your hearts then you will not survive the horrors of the tomb. If such is the case it would be best if you return to the mainland." The gith falls silent as he awaits his companions responses.

"I'm not sure that would be how the fallen crewmen would wish to be honored," Jiardem said to the Gith with an aside glance, "But I do agree with the part about seeking out with whatever evil is behind this. I've dabbled in divine magics and have taken time to learn a few things about the pantheons and when you pray for their blessing, feeling a near void in response...," he trailed off feeling his resolve weaken, yet unable to quiet his own inner voice.

"I want to figure what power is at work here, but not at the expense of the crew. We have a feeling that we are not at the Isle of Serpents as well, with little besides instinct to go on. To speak for my own wishes, I want a day to figure out if this is our intended destination, if not then if the ship is capable by then leave. I don't want to put the crew in further danger to sate my curiosity,"

Kilina ponders this for a moment. Finally, she speaks again. "Take one of the rowboats and find a way ashore. Confirm that this is in fact the place you are looking for and then come back. We'll discuss the merits of sticking around once you know this is the right place, and when I have a better idea of how hard it will be to repair this ship anyway. Fair enough? Now go. And come right back. If you're gone longer that 24 hours I'll assume you dead." She says, as she ushers everyone out of her room.

"Well you heard the captain, Quinn. We make way for the shore and see if this den of evil is the den we are looking for. Of course we should probably go and wake Master Cruxholder - it would be a shame to not bring out archivist along on this scouting mission." Agamemnon pauses for a moment and glances over to the stairs leading below deck. "Though now that I think on it it would be best if someone other then I were to waken him. He didn't seem to be in the best of moods with me earlier."
