Its still pretty good. And I'm not convinced we won't end of at least 4 color.

Matca Rioters

We could do with a creature. An easy-to-cast 4/4 for three seems reasonable.

This is between Absorb Vis and Raiders for me (see my other thread for why). Raiders is a pseudo bomb often being at least a 4/4 for 3 and normally a 5/5. Vis is a great finisher and also early fixing.

We are very short of fixing at the moment (only 2 cards, no, we are not playing Lush Growth) so I think Absorb Vis is the pick here but I wouldn't complain with the rioters.

Yeah, Drag Down seems solid.

Honorable mention goes to fusion elemental, the most jank card to kill me a lot in limited.

Good pack - probably 4 cards worth wheeling. I suspect we will not get the elemental though. Drag Down.

This draft is such a Drag. Get it? Get it?
Yeah I vote Drag Down.

Well this guy at the bottom of the page says elder mastery is pretty sweet, so that's my new vote. Weird to take an aura, but looking at the removal that's gone around, can anything even two for one us?

Hey I made that joke on the last drag down. Are you trying to zombify my jokes?

But yes, drag down.

OH HOLY HELL I JUST SAW ELDER MASTERY I DON'T KNOW HOW I MISSED THAT CARD

We need to take Elder Mastery, seriously. The card is one of the better bombs in the format. We have a Grixis Obelisk and an Armillary Sphere, and already have another half decent flier we can splash as well. But probably just splash the Mastery.

Card is the serious real deal. A seven course meal, a full flank of veal that you got for a steal, a right proper deal, but only after going through a real. The card is ideal. No way it's gonna wheel, so just get a resolve of steel and peel it from the pack.

I don't know, elder mastery always seemed kinda "win-more." I mean it is strong, but its expensive in more ways than one.

Would you consider Broodmate Dragon win more?

No, but it produces two evasive attackers. It doesn't require another card. Mastery is really good, I'm not arguing that. It just requires you to already have a creature, preferably one you can protect, since getting 2 for 1'd with that would SUCK. Its not necessarily not a good pick here, its just riskier. But big risk means big payoff and elder mastery turns a 1/1 into an evasive 5 turn clock, so...

Edit: Actually we took Nyaxthid. Changing my vote to Elder Mastery. The very idea of pulling those two together.... priceless.

Bone Splinter. Losing saproling to blow up their huge elder mastery threat.

Edit: And technically drag down. Depending on the target.

Bone Splinters isn't that great of a removal spell, and considering that the Jund deck is the one that is most designed to use it, I wouldn't worry too much.

Like, you stick Elder Mastery on ANYTHING and that card becomes a super bomb. Also, Cascade will help with the whole "2 for 1" thing by letting us catch up. And Jund has some of the best Cascade spells, and Grixis has a half decent one.

Cascade will help regardless of whether we pick the potential disaster. I still think Drag Down is the better pick. Probably because I prefer steady, dependable decks over situational, bomby ones. You can stick Mastery on turn six, discard his last two cards, and win; or you try to stick it, watch the critter eat a Drag Down, and lose.

Pick it if you want to add more spice to your draft; just don't delude yourselves that it's the better pick.
