I have been on the Roll20 site for about 2-3 weeks now and can't seem to find a group. Is there anyone on here that knows of or has a Pathfinder/4th Edition/D&D Next Campaign that they need an extra player for? Or maybe wouldn't mind starting a game. I don't think I could do the play by post games.

I've got a Roll20 account as well, but so far I've mostly been trying to learn how to do things from the DM side of the program. I didnt want my first game to be plagued by "hold on guys let me google how to do this."

But I'd be down to join a Roll20 game as a player in either a 4e or PF game. Probably something low key first to get in the swing of things, and then a more serious campaign in the future.

Maybe I should invest in a new microphone so I could get in on that. I know nothing about Roll20's software though.

I know they show an intro video for the DM side but as for playing it it shows nothing

Yeah I've watched the intro video a time or two and messed around with making a few maps, for the most part it seems pretty simple.

I've got a mic and headset, but with the death of my laptop I've got no camera; If we did play I'd only have voice chat / text.

I could possibly stream the game though if people here wanted to watch. Or they could make Roll20 accounts and join the game just not control a PC.

I have a pretty bad camera so I would be voice chat mainly til I got a new one.

Bah, you don't wanna see Nerd's ugly mug anyways.

Squinty, you should DM us a game on roll 20.

Hell even if its just the same sandbox that you're doing play by post. It would let me mess around with some of the other Pathfinder classes before I go and deploy.

LOL, my games aren't very interesting. It'd be two hours of:

Player 1: "Where are we going?"
squinty: "I dunno, you guys tell me."
Player 2: "Towards town?"
squinty: "..."
Player 3: "Towards town!"
squinty: "Okay, roll perception."
Player 1: "12"
Player 2: "4"
Player 3: "15"
squinty: "You see nothing, you head to town."
Player 2: "Can I roll again?"
squinty: "No."
Player 2: "Why not?"
squinty: "Because you failed, now let's move on."
Player 1: "He should re-roll."
squinty: "Oh goddammit...."
Player 3: "Where are my line sin all of this?"

@NerdInsight : If you do find a lower level PF or 4E game on roll20 be sure to mention it here, I'd check it out and see about joining. And I'll do the same.

Roll20 games are fun to watch on Twitch if you can find a good one but I don't thing I'd have the time or desire to actually take part in one. I mostly enjoy having them up as background noise when I cant decide on what music to listen to and every once in a while you happen upon some real funny or interesting stuff. The more I see of other games the more ideas for my own stuff I tend to come up with.
