by Yanmato, though I'm not sure whether he'd want his name associated with the story any more...

Spoiler

Incidentally, this came from this thread, which also spawned the idea of Bradywalker High, a highschool AU of the post-Mending world.

Also, this little gem from VLW:

Quote:
Jace: Okay grampa Bolas. It's time for your medication.
Nicol: WE WERE GODS ONCE!

Hm, now I should go dig up Test of Metal The Epic Rock Opera and Tezzeret Punches the Multiverse...

I have Bradywalker High somewhere.

At least, I hope I still do.

I found it, after some googling. It's a lot shorter than I remember.

Bradywalker High

Edit: In the next episode: Jace meets Liliana Vess, who is more than she appears. He also learns of the Test of Metal, a regional rock competition. Liliana's friend, Tezzeret is looking for a new bass-player.

Oh my gog, I was just skimming this thread and I nearly choked on my apple*! That was fantastic.

I'm pretty sure Tezzeret Punches Out the Multiverse is still somewhere in the original M:EM group. If you'd like, I can look it up.

Oh, also, I seem to recall a Ravnica High story a little while back (probably with the release of Dragon's Maze).

*I decided to celebrate Applejack month.

So I skimmed over that linked thread and found this:
KeeperofManyNames wrote:
Personally, I've long wanted a touching duet between Bolas and Jace entitled "We Were Gods Once"... So I second the motion to make this a musical!

I still, still need to read Raven's Magic: the Musical, but even without it, I feel like your wish may have already been granted.

Also, I fully intend to find out whether Yanmato wants his name stricken from that particular record.

Who wrote the Bradywalker High snippet, anyway? I'm sure if anyone from around here re-wrote it, it would end up much smoother than it ever was.

I did. If I remember correctly, I wrote that in a painfully boring class on Philosophy of Law and Justice. It was intended as a proof of concept, but really, I needed something to keep my mind occupied and I just finished drawing a huge LittleBigPlanet level.

But rereading it, I kinda want to do it again, but a lot better and longer. I still like the idea of having Legendary creatures for teachers.

Sounds good, and I reiterate: if it were re-written now, with as much as we've all grown since... at least since the formation of the M:EM, then it would put the old version to shame.

I didn't read past the first paragraph but this should totally be called 50 shades of black red and blue.

I believe it may have actually been written before that, though I can't say for sure because I only learned about 50 Shades when Time magazine used it as a big example for self-publishing, which was after it had become huge.

The Jace/Bolas fic was written over 3 years ago, though (by what the Wizards site is telling me).
