So, finally have a level 50 Siren, to go along with my level 50 Psycho. I have now gotten two bees from random mob drops.

If you suck at FPSs, you should play Krieg (the Psycho). He turns the game into a first person hack and slash.

So I've done every quest I can think of in the New Haven area, and my trophy for doing all of them has not unlocked yet. Would you guys be willing to help me brainstorm what i might have missed?

I know it can't be marcus or any of the other quest givers in new haven, I know it can't be crazy earl, and I know it is neither bounty board or the circle of slaughter. But I'm sure I missed one of the more random ones.

Edit: Never mind. Apparently every off shoot of salt flats also counts as new haven for some reason.

Also, Marcus is starting to annoy me a little. He's funny in the dlc intros, but in the actual main game....... he's the greedy dude whose tag line "Always buy the best. If you actually find the vault you'll be able to afford it."

He's as repetitive as any merchant in any game ever...what's your point?

Not much. Speaking of which, Jack just finished the game and needs to get to level 50 and do a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

Anyone want to screw around for a while?

I'm starting to reevaluate this game having a good multiplayer. At least just a little. The last 2 hours have literally been the worst multiplayer experience I have ever had on Borderlands.

I've had:

1. Hackers
2. People coming in and stealing all the treasure chests before leaving
3. People coming in to troll and do nothing productive
4. High level people coming in and doing all the work before low level people can even get to that side of the map
and a whole host of other things that are just bad online behavior

I don't remember randoms on this game being that bad, but so far I have yet to meet a single person I would want to play with for more than 10 minutes.

My friends don't have a copy of the game :). And them being level 1 while I am level 36 is not a working proposition either.

I used to actually be able to go out and find tons of good randoms in this game. This is the first time I've seen that many bad games in a row.

Tends to happen the longer the game is out. And if they are level 1, start a new character.

If you friends dont play then invite them to. Otherwise make friends with the good players you encounter online or stick to solo.

And theres nothing wrong with starting a level 1 to play alongside a buddy ... theres more classes to play and they're all fun.

It doesn't stay that way. Couch coop campaigns only work in our group when they don't last 50+ hours. And as for multiplayer .... I have learned long ago that my friends don't stay at about the same level as I do. Assuming they were willing to get the game, which they ain't.

On a side note, I know they want everyone to try out all classes at some point, but I'm against hardcoding it into the actual trophy list. Especially the way they did it in Borderlands 2, where I think I'm going to have to use Raid Bosses now like I refused to previously use the original crawdad.

That being said, does anyone on ps3 want to play borderlands 2 starting friday? I would rather go through it with a partner, and I don't think randoms are an option for obvious reasons. And no, my friends are not willing to buy borderlands 2.

Seriously. How would you play Borderlands couch coop without a level disparity starting at some point or the game dragging out too long? The game takes about 20-30 hours to beat the main part in playthrough 1 once. Getting to level 69 takes signficantly longer. ....... It's not realistic.

And as stated, my friends won't buy the game themselves. So there isn't a way for us to do it over actual multiplayer.

mjack I find it really really strange that you

1) don't play with friends regularly
2) don't enjoy online play
3) love jrpgs

...and yet have no interest in pc gaming. PC games can give you literally anything you want!

Also, high five PC Masterrace.

My backlog on ps3, which is like 20 games deep, has 8 or 9 jrpgs in it. And I like the ps3 exclusives. Thus I'm not switching any time soon.

And I do enjoy online play. In games where the average random is at least fun to play with, albeit maybe not skilled. I just don't like it when every single person I meet online as a random is being a #%#% to the point where I am personally getting instakicked from things. That's how bad the Blands community is.

Due to other reasons, including a lot of budget reasons and my purchasing habits and a few others, ps3 works a ton better for me than pc.

I have never had the issue of annoying **** in my games on PC. Even against major boss fights.
