Howdy gang!

Scott Kurtz, author and artist of PVPonline and for the last year a D&D inspired strip TableTitans (and many of you may know him as Binwin Bronzebottom from Acquisitions Incorporated) has just launched a kickstarter with help from Toonhound Studios to turn the first season of the strip into an exclusive hardcover book.

Swing by the kickstarter and check out the stretch goals and awesome gear that they've got set up for backers of the project and help Scott make the project a success. Backers get an exclusive copy of the book that wont be sold in stores or online, and they've got stuff ranging from Penny Arcade pens and T-Shirts to Dice Bags and Adventuring Kits, and (if you've got some spare cash laying around) you could play D&D with Scott Kutz himself either remotely or even in person at the Card Kingdom in Seattle, WA.

Holy moly, funded already?

Yup, and now they've met the first stretch goal.

Keith Wood, the guy who designed the books for Scott Pilgrim vs the World and Sixth Gun, will be designing the books. The next stretch goal ($40k) which they're only a few grand away from will mean that all books will include a playable module for the game that they played in the first season.

But yeah this seems sweet. I hope they hit the next goal, I'd be more interested in the module than the book lol.

It's already blown past that, the module will now be included in all books.

$900 more dollars and the next stretch goal will be met : All books will include various "Tales from the Table" stories with custom art and spot illustations. Tales from the table being fan mail D&d stories mailed in by various readers.

$5.9K and all kickstand books will be upgraded to include book plates signed by Scott Kurtz

Beholder Dice Bag Pics Now Available!

Wow. Beholder dice bags. That's kinda neat.

They look pretty cool, but you'll never exceed the class of a Crown Royal bag.

They just passed the $55,000 mark, everyone gets signed bookplates now.

Hooray!

Just passed the 1000 backer milestone. And in less than a hundred bucks will hit the $60,000 marker woot woot.

Oh wow they doubled their goal

40 Hours to go still but today things blew up, it was amazing.

This morning they were sitting at just over the $70k mark and when I got home from work they were at $79,000. Everyone with physical rewards is now going to get a Tabletitans DM screen.

About an hour after my post last night about them being at $79,000 they uploaded another video from Scott.



They're halfway through that final 30 hours, and now sit happily at $93.6k. 15 Hours to go and the number is still going up every few minutes.

They've also just released the mock up for the deluxe book:



Its not guaranteed to be the final look, but looks pretty snazzy for a first draft.

When people will pledge $100,000 to get a book of a comic that's already freely available online you know you're doing something right.
