A good example of game trailers with no gameplay is the new infamous trailers on tv, and basically all PlayStation trailers on tv at the moment. But that's enough to get the average person to play games like this.

Infamous Second Son? Cause that's had gameplay videos out since last summer ... to include the really long E3 gameplay demo.

Reread what I said. It has trailers that contain no gameplay, not that it has no gameplay trailers. I don't think I've ever seen a game that has 0 gameplay trailers.

Yeah. Mjack33's belief though is that there are entire ad campaigns that dont feature gameplay in their trailers and ads and that a "ton of games" act this way.

I read your post from the phone and mistakenly thought you were giving an example of this where he cannot. Sorry. But yeah, I know there are trailers with no gameplay, read the conversation above regarding cinematic trailers and such.

Can. Just don't think it would matter. The odds of me convincing you are much less than the bother is worth.

Sure.

Anyone having issues with Steam's user profile and Friends Lists not loading currently? It's acting as if I'm offline when I'm clearly not.

Edit : Store and everything is working. But anything Community wise is reporting an Error 101.

Seriously. :)

:ontopic:

Same question that I've been asking. Anyone heard of anything really good coming out soon that is more obscure?

Nevermind a client reboot seems to have solved it. It worked fine on startup though.

Crisis averted, can now pester steam friends to do stuff.

I think I'll work on Final Fantasy VII and VIII next.... yeah, those seem like good titles to start in on.

I've not yet played either of them.

Not sure what I'm going to start next, but mostly knocking out some achievements on various titles at the moment.

*Casually knocks out achievements in Magic 2014*

Once I've gotten some of the easier ones in Magic I think I might farm some in Borderlands. Last time I tried my BL1 wasnt working on my desktop but maybe steam has sorted itself out. Otherwise I'll just pick up some of the easy stuff in BL2 and farm BL1 via laptop while overseas.

So, picked up Dragon Commander because it was on sale, and I like strategy and RTS games.

I was surprised by the quality of it. Was expecting something much more disappointing than I got. While the game wasn't perfect, I think it was worth the $14 I spent. The biggest downside to me is that the campaign was relatively short - just three maps and you're done. Though there is some replay-ability based on the choices you can make, I noticed that a lot of the decisions I made weren't interesting enough to go back and try until the end.

Also, you get to be a dragon and blow S**t up.

A ringing endorsement of a game if ever there was one. They should put that on the box that no one will see 'cause who actually buys physical copies of PC games anymore?

Depending on the game, I do. You sometimes get sweet stuff. For example, the box for Skyrim came with a map of the region, which is awesome.

I havent bought one in a while, but I can see the appeal.

I just prefer to keep as much stuff digital as I'm capable of.

Uhm, new stuff? I dunno. Goat Simulator? Steam Store lists new releases, and the indie games (generally cheaper) don't have console ports.

FTL is a game I highly enjoy, that recently got a huge patch of new stuff.

It doesn't have to be new. Just a good game.

Well I'm a huge fan of FTL.
Reus is a nice, relaxing game for the most part. Sometimes frustrating, but the music is super chill.
Shadowrun Returns holds a place in my nostalgia, and isn't bad to boot.
Sir, You Are Being Hunted is an interesting game, a survival type thing similar to Minecraft but more strict and no legos.
If you want to be my guinea pig, get Quest of Dungeons and tell me what its like. Same goes for Cortex Command.

I've been wanting to get Kerble Space Program, what is it like?

Oh, and an older game, and a bit dated by this point, but I suggest you try out Spore.
