To roll a d20 type [dice ]1d20[ /dice] (without the spaces). If you know if you have a bonus to the roll you can add that too by typing [dice ]1d20+5[ /dice]' (assuming the bonus was +5 and again without the spaces).

If you go into full editor and hit the dice tag, you can type the dice you want to use

Or you can go: [dice ]1d20+99[ /dice] without the spaces.

It's common for Johto trainers to have a pokegear, but Jet doesn't have one.

Kato was born in Kanto and was constantly made fun of for his looks. kids would
say that he looked funny and would never include him in the games they played. His family had a very radical outlook on life. They believed that since they looked different it meant that they were superior to everyone else. This is the philosophy that Kato grew up with. he was always told that he was better than everyone else. However as he got a little older he found out that he wasn't really different from anyone else because of how he looked. He believed that he was better than everyone else because he had to work harder and face more obstacles with everything that he did. kids would team up on him in games and he would have to become good enough to take them all on. And eventually, he did. His family gave him a Squirtle and he immediately had to train the Squitle to be able to take on some of the local kids. Kato then decided that he wanted to leave Kanto and take on all of the gym leaders His family was not happy with his decision and thought that he should wait until he was older. But they could not change his mind. Tey told him that no matter what obstacles he may face, he will always be able to overcome it. With that he left his home, and went to a gym in New Bark town to claim his first badge.

I'm sorry for my recent lack of activity. Busy days. Some points before I make an IC post tomorrow:

1. Can I say I checked the recent pokemons that appeared in my pokedex (Squirtle, Cyndaquil and any other that shows up between this post and my next IC one)?

2. What's exactly different about Kato's looks? It's just that he's asian?

3. I think this is not very clear based on some IC post, so I'll have to state it clearly: Trevor has no intention to challenge this particular Gym Leader, right now. He wants to improve as a trainer, but that doesn't include facing every Gym he sees. What he really seeks is advice from those Gym Leaders about growing as a trainer, and maybe battling against some of them here and there. What he really wants from the Gym in New Bark, however, is some answers about what is happening in Johto and Kanto.

1. You can't scan the Squirtle and Cyndaquil, because you don't have direct line of view. I'll make an I.C. post showing the viewing room
2. He is short, and specifically asian, which is different then the rest of you, I was just assuming you all had the lack-of-ethinicness of anime look or general american look
3. Thats fine. You are not required to challenge any gym you come across, and im sure the Gym Leader will be happy to talk to you

Hey Hawkbeak what's Sam's Dexterity score and Shadow's Speed rating? I'm almost certain Shadow out speeds Tiny but I don't know who goes first out of us two.

Sam's dex is 14 and Shadow's speed is 12

Right then you get to go first. 13 Dex and 5 Speed.

how do we do bonuses to hit?

There are none. Just bonuses to damage. And most moves have an AC of 2

From what I understand there are no innate bonuses to hit. You just roll a d20 and attempt to beat the accuracy check of the move + the opponents evasion.

So for example if Shadow used Scratch against Tiny you would have to roll 6 or higher (Scratch's Accuracy Check of 2 + Tiny's Evasion of 4). In addition certain moves and environment effects can raise or lower the number you need hit.
