Aregano calls out to the goblin sharpshooters "6 against 3, this will be over soon. You two would be smart to run out the backdoor. Once the Ice Warrior is dead, I can't keep these guys from gutting you!"

Then he lets rip another jolt of lightning from his orb aimed at the remaining Ice Warrior...and cackles maniacally as it dances through the air.

The bolt flies overhead, a feathering of electricity grazing the metal struts of the globe imprisoning the slumbering dragon.

Tearing his eyes away from the imprisoned dragon Lucian conjures up a ball of arcane energy and sends it sailing into the side of the distracted Ice Warrior.

Lucian's bolt ricochets off the icy walls, rebounding back and connecting with the dragon's glass prison. Spiderwebs of cracks surge across the glass, causing a sound like the crunch of freshly frozen snowmelt underfoot.

The goblin sharpshooter is oblivious to this development, firing a bolt at Tovar and connecting solidly. A steady stream of blood begins pouring out of the barbarian's arm, pinkening the snow he's stamped underfoot.

The dragon stirs, opening its eyes slowly, and looking around at the chaos of the cave sleepily. It stands as high as it can, and roars a roar that vibrates the glass and the cave, causing icicles to come crashing down from the cave ceiling, and spreading the damage on its glass orb. Distorted by the cracked glass, the party can make out its quickly prowling through the cage, looking for a weak spot to exploit.

The dragon's roar increases the Ice Warrior's fervor in finishing off Tovar, and he attacks the bloodied barbarian with new vigor, connecting with a vicious blow. Libi darts across the field, trying to get into flanking position and, when she realizes she can't, skewers the bastard anyway, then twists the knife.

Flint throws a dagger and it misses.

Tovar hacks away at IW1

Tovar's hack turns the final Ice Warrior into a puddle of slush.

Nolan moves forward through the snow. The goblin sharpshooter fires at him; a shot that would've normally caused the cleric to bleed, but is narrowly deflected by Nolan's defensive stance.

Aregano grins as the Ice Warrior slushes to the cave floor. Taking an easy relaxed breath he turns to look at the Dragon Ball, and notices...those goblins snipers are still here?! They didn't run?

After he blinks a few times to make sure that they aren't the cold version of a mirage, he shrugs, grins, and lets fly with a two pronged bolt of lightning that goes dancing across the cave skittering amongst his companions, eventually banking to head zigzaggingly to each of the snipers.

One of the bolts flies wide of its target, while the other grazes the sharpshooter's shoulder.

On the off chance that the dragon should escape the cracked orb Lucian moves a few feet to the left, placing Nolan between himself and any potential attacks. Comfortable in his position he launches a barrage of magically enhanced taunts at the nearest goblin in the hopes of ruining it's aim.

For the first time, Lucian's taunts, possibly assisted by the sudden realization that the goblin, in all likelihood, is going to die by hero or by dragon, have finally hit home. The goblin flinches, and his desperate counter attack flies wide of Lucian's meat-shield Nolan.

That's when the dragon rams into the walls of the orb. A million cracks now cover its surface. One more push might send it crumbling to the floor.

Libi and Flint, however, are heedless of the danger. Libi pulls out her borrowed crossbow and fires true into the second goblin sharpshooter. Flint plucks a dagger off the slush pile that was once an Ice Warrior and flings it deftly at the same target, connecting with deadly precision.

Tovar rushes over to M12, with his back up against the cage.

You all might want to run, I've a feeling the dragon's not too fond of you at this point. he says to the remaining goblins.

Nolan is still trying to get his revenge against the goblins. He is ignoring the rest of the battle, focusing only in killing as many goblins as possible.

Nolan's attack is successful, though his efforts are rewarded with a desperate bolt fired successfully by his target. The bolt slides easily into Nolan's bicep, ripping muscle and puncturing flesh. The goblin then skips back away from the Dragon and the furious cleric.

Another two pronged lightning strike flashes across the cavern, each tine of the fork diving toward a different sniper.

Empowered by Nolan's blessing Lucian let's loose another torrent of insults decrying the goblins stature, sexuality, and the promiscuity of it's mother.

Lucian's insults are so sharp they cut--literally. The goblin shrieks in pain and outrage, then begins sobbing bloody tears. The dragon is so disconcerted by the bard's nefarious eloquence it trips on its own tail and slides harmlessly to the floor, where it should've actually burst out of the globe imprisoning it and wreaked a specific level of carnage on the ne'er do wells of the cave.

Libi and Flint charge forward, Libi plugging her target with a quarrel to its throat, making it drop dead and good. Flint, so synchronized with Libi's advance, flings his last dagger at the same target and only afterward realizes he was menacing a cadaver.

Tovar readies himself in case the dragon gets loose. Don't worry, I got this guys. Just get that last stinking goblin!

The pain that Nolan felt by the goblin's arrow in his arm made he aim poorly against the last goblin standing. His radiant lance misfired.

"Avandra, where is my luck?"
