Trevor Willians is the only son of Daimon Willians, an once famous Gym Leader in the Sinnoh region that felt in disgrace after an disastrous loss against an unknown trainer using an Infernape. The loss made Daimon lose his status as a Gym Leader and all his prestige in the Pokemon community. The shame and depression made Daimon abandon his family for a life of reclusion. Now Trevor wants to become a great trainer and a Gym Leader (favoring the Steel type, just like his father) to save the name of his family and find his father. He seeks to achieve this goal with his trusty companion, a Riolu that was his father's last gift for him, and which was named after the old man himself.

My character's name is Sam Green. He was born and raised on Floe Island. As long as Sam could remember his dad had been training in martial arts, it wasn't until his 10th birthday that his father reveled to him that he was in fact a ninja and that he wanted Sam to follow in his footsteps. Soon after Sam started training with his father. Shortly after Sam turned 13 his father told him that he planned to go to Fuchsia city to become a gym trainer under the world famous ninja Koga. Before his father left for Fuchsia city he told Sam that while he was gone he wanted Sam to continue his ninja training. So before his father left he gave Sam his first Pokemon, a Sneasel which Sam nicknamed Shadow. Because there were no other trainers that were willing to battle on Floe Island and the wild Pokemon were insanely strong Sam and Shadow were not able to battle at all, instead honing there skills through martial arts. Finally Sam turned 18 and decided that after 5 years of not hearing from his father that he would go on his Pokemon journey to become a better ninja and a better Pokemon trainer so that he could find his father, beat the Pokemon league, and surpass the Koga as the greatest ninja in the world.

Back Story
For the better portion of his life Jet never knew another human. That isn't to say he never *saw* another human - trainers and explorers passed through the caves he called home all the time - but he never had cause to relate to them. His earliest memories were of waking up inside Union Cave surrounded by darkness and the Pokemon who lived in that place. It was they who taught him to fight and hunt and survive in the wild. His life among his adopted family was tough but simple and rewarding. Still as he grew older Jet grew curious about the world outside of the cave and it adjoining routes. So it was that on his 13th birthday Jet and his 'little brother' Tiny left union cave to explore the sights and sounds of the world. In the two years since his departure he has steadily began to acclimate to human society and while he may never be the most charming or sharpest man in the world he certainly has the skills to make an excellent, if unconventional, trainer.

Quick question. Do we have Pokedex by default? I mean are they still relatively rare things handed out by Professors or are they common enough that anyone can pick one up from a store? I ask because if its the former there a good chance I probably don't have a Pokedex. Not that I have an issue with this mind.
