This pack, blegh. Claim is a pretty good looking card if we're willing to jump colourships. We don't have any inspired though. Otherwise I guess it's Sunchaser. I can't see Oathsworn working out unless we seriously stock up on combat tricks.

Sunchaser.

Oathsworn or Sunchaser. Actually, Sunchaser. We took hammer, so we could use some more red. Oathsworn, the devotion is worth running.

I don't even know why people want to take bad cards over Oathsworn here.

Definitely Setessan Oathsworn.

Need more devotion to green for the pack 2, pick 1 Reverent Hunter. :D More seriously, Fall of the Hammer is easily splashed for and Impetious Sunchaser is not a reason to go red.

oathsworn is an alright pick but not a very good card. Spending two cards to make a nessian courser is depressing.

Snake. Kind of wish we went black a few packs back though.

Hi all

This is my first post on this forum. I used to be a fairly prolific poster on the MTG forum but after a 6 month break (due to wife giving birth to son and frowning on playing Magic in spare time) I discovered that the MTG limited forum was dead and heard that here was the place to come (which has been proven by CG's wonderful fantasy drafts being back up and running).

For what it's worth, I'm a fairly good limited player but have been out of practice for a while. Still, I have got back into limited in the last month and currently post a 25-11 score out of my 12 MTGO drafts so far (I always draft Swiss).

Clearly here (to state the obvious) we are going to be something (about to discover whether the same shortcuts apply). We have one good red card and an equally good blue card with the white card being, in my opinion, slightly worse.

Although I am likely to be outvoted here I would take the necrobite. There is really nothing exciting about the snake and will normally be a 4/4 for 5 and you gain some life (4 to be exact). Our deck is looking like an aggressive deck and I don't think a 4/4 for 5 really cuts it in this style of deck. Necrobite is a good combat trick and enables heroic. It may prove to be a dead pick if we don't go black but I would rather have it and not use it than get stuck with a snake later on.

If we go very aggro we may only want one or at most 2 5-drops and the snake is just not good enough (Raised by Wolves on the otherhand...).

Well, Snake.

I would take any of the green tricks over this, but not Necrobite. Not yet, anyway. I agree our green looks like leavings of another green drafter, and we need to hope pack two will be better. Since pack three will probably not be, I'd like to take any remotely playable bodies until we fill up the quota. Those two :g::g: two-drops really constrain our choices.

Snake, it's ok.

Also, welcome to NGA, Falcon!
