And another case of my character refusing to be quite. A bluff check to convince the crew that the gods are going to guide us to safety:

Can I possibly get a quick update on the status of the ship? If I'm reading all this correctly we are no longer being drawn into the whirlpool, the breach in the hull is being patched and the Cap'n is rallying her crew. We're pretty much solid by my reckoning.

The DC is 16, so if you weren't including the +2 power bonus from Quinn's stupendous bard-powers, you succeed with a 17!

If you were including it, you unfortunately fail to maintain the integrity of the ritual while you are trying to stay afloat and lose it.
