I won't build my competitive deck until I open all intro packages and boosters that come with them, but here is what I have in mind:

4 x Healer's Hawk
4 x Leonin Vanguard
4 x Legion's Landing
4 x Grid for Battle

4 x Ajani's Pridemate
4 x Famished Paladin
4 x Bishop's Soldier
4 x Adanto Vanguard

4 x History of Benalia
4 x Benalish Marshal

20 x Plains

Sideboard:
4 x Sheltering Light
2 x Demotion
3 x Baffling End
2 x Conclave Tribunal
2 x Dawn of Hope
2 x Citywide Bust

Really want feedback for this one.

My advise: don't use Gird for battle, instead go for 2x Pride of Conquerors and for example 2x Venerated Loxodon. I would probably after that also scrap 1-2 Famisched Paladin for another 1-2 Loxodons.

Generally speaking, lifegain just isn't that important. Outside of Dawn of Hope, which is a card draw engine, the benefits of life gain in an aggro deck are pretty minimal. It's great when it's anxillary to an otherwise great card, but it's really not that useful otherwise.

Competitive Budget Lifegain

That's one of these typical "pick 2" groups. And even then it only works if one of them is Budget.

Healer's Hawk and Legion's Landing are undisputed Standard players these days. The "kitty package" of Leonin Vanguard and Ajani's Pridemate is a controversial topic going back and forth. It is supposed to be strong in mirror situations where a grown Pridemate outclasses a Knight of Grace eventually and thus forces one of the scarce removals in such a matchup.

Adanto and the Benalia cards are tier-1 4-ofs, no questions asked.

And the cards from your main deck I haven't named, shouldn't be in there. Also, why do you guys all run Bishop's Soldier over Mesa Unicorn?
