Welp. After facing multiple "classic" turbofog decks (all of which were somewhat beatable) I believe I just faced the elephant in the room. I don't know the deck's exact numbers and had to guesstimate a lot, but this variant of the deck needs to be talked about.

Taking turns:
4 x Nexus of Fate

Untap effects:
4 x Wilderness Reclamation

Fogs:
4 x Root Snare
2 x Blink of an Eye

Ramp:
4 x Growth Spiral
2 x Grow from the Ashes

Wincons:
3 x Karn, Scion of Urza
3 x Hydroid Krasis

Carddraw:
3 x Search for Azcanta
4 x Chemister's Insight
2 x Precognitive Perception

Lands (25)
4 x Hinterland Harbor
4 x Breeding Pool
1 x Arch of Orazca
2 x Memorial to Genius
8 x Forest
6 x Island

I may easily have gotten some of these numbers wrong and forgotten a card or two, but this is the gist of it. Basically, the deck has way too many ways to find Nexus, and once it does, you're fairly easily sailing toward victory.

Yeah, that’s probably in the right ballpark. I’m not sure those are the right ramp spells though. I prefer the one that gives you life: Gift of Paradise.

Still this deck is a powerhouse.

Gift vs. Grow is interesting. Gaining life and not relying on having sufficient Basics in the deck are the main points in Gift's favor; in favor of Grow are deck thinning, not being susceptible to enchant hate (especially Cleansing Nova) and the ability to get 2 mana instead of one in a single card.
The main advantage Gift had in the old lists was that Teferi could untap the land it enchanted to generate an extra mana; with Teferi not in the deck and Splendid Reclamation in its stead this point is null though. That said, in a deck that runs Teferi over, say, Karn (which is perfectly plausible IMO), Gift is the much better card.

I think the bigger issue is the life gain. In a combo deck, I want a bit more time (in the form of life) to pull off the combo. In this case, I think the gains outweigh the minor thinning effect significantly. That said, grow gives you immediate usable mana, so it's not 100% clear to me.

I like both cards, but I'm about 60% Gift over 40% Grow. I'm also not so sure that I want 4 Growth Spiral instead of 4 Gift or Grow. I might do the split in the other direction.

I definitely think 4 Spiral is correct, mainly because t2 ramp > t3 ramp.

I also think I just figured out one of the main reasons why Grow>Gift: It makes it easier to go off on turn 4 (Optional plays in brackets)

T1 -
T2 Spiral
T3 Reclamation (+ Insight/Blink of an Eye/Root Snare after untap)
T4 Ashes kicked (+Search for Azcanta) + Nexus of Fate endstep

This line requires an additional Growth Spiral or Gift to work with Gift.

I wasn’t aware that simply casting nexus one time meant you win the game though.

I'm playing one splashing white for teferi and absorb right now. Also has Tezzeret and karn in there. He has two Wilderness on the board as we speak. He's fog'd or nexus every turn.

I've got him at 6 life. But I don't think I will ever be able to swing. White also gives him some sweepers if necessary.

He's also about to ultimate Neferi.
