Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath is banned

Uro had it coming, but I'm skeptical it's enough to make the Omnath deck not viable. It might still be clearly the best deck, since although Uro is undoubtedly strong and losing the lifegain + win condition will hurt, it wasn't that critical to Omnath's main gameplan. One can easily replace Uro with Dryad of Illysian Grove, Cultivate, Chulane ...

Omnath can choose the next best thing for days... and it will still be broken, this is not enough.

Type in this code to celebrate... Mqx-z1f6-Tjy (6 packs of ZR)
Then post so no one wastes their time afterwards, please.

...and then weep because clover and omnath are still format-warping mistakes that ruin any semblance of variety in play patterns.
I'll be sticking to historic, but at least the drafts are spectacular right now.

Quick update, Omnath deck remains strong but losing Uro was a bigger blow than expected. The replacements are fine, but Uro is simply better. Going down to only 4 Omnath (aka lifegain cards) against aggro is a blow, and not being able to throw out Uro as a repeatable threat against counterspells is also a blow. Only thing the replacements do better is when you are comboing off.

A weakness I did not anticipate was suddenly becoming softer to the Rogues deck. They do a fine monoblue Obsession impression now, without Uro to punish them for filling the graveyard. Aside from Uro & Kroxa, what other cards are there that make it dangerous to mill opponent for them?

You could use Cling to Dust to empty your own GY so that you turn off their "8 in the GY" abilities with the added bonus of gaining life or drawing cards

Preferred Pronoun Set: to me
Chainweb Aracnir picks off Merfolk Windrobber and Brazen Borrower with hand cast ETB, and escapes ETB to kill their 3 butt flyers. Reach stalls flying damage and escape removes 4 cards from graveyard. Obviously a big step down from Uro, and doesn’t offer much vs other matchups, but maybe worth testing if you’re facing a large amount of rogues. Doesn’t ask you to have a 5th color in your Omnath deck
