Welcome to the NGA league a place to put your skills to the test of organized play.
Ok people, so in order to do this and don't lose my mind in the process we need to have things automated ... yeah welcome to the future!
This means that I´m gonna use an external page to manage the league, so if you want to join the league you are going to have to register there and join a Discord server coz I´m not doing this any other way.
Discord, just to make sure you can contact your opponent and make announcements when needed. Toornament sign up

Follow the official League Rules. As a participant please make sure you read the rules carefully before you register for the League. By registering you will declare that you agree with these rules. In case you have questions feel free to contact the organization team via email.
Rules
Follow all instructions and timelines within. Be polite to both your opponent and yourself. Contact your opponent promptly after league pairings go up and schedule your games. If you encounter problems with your opponent, contacting them, a game error, or a rules dispute, contact the organization team. If you are unable to play for any reason or wish to drop out, contact organization team. When in doubt, contact organization team. All matches during Robin rounds are best of 3. Recording and/or streaming your matches is not a requirement for the Robin rounds, though it is highly encouraged. After all rounds are completed top players will be passed to the next round, scores will take win rate in consideration. Finalists will play a Best of 5 match. Illegal Cards The penalty for playing an illegal card is League expulsion. If any illegal actions are reported at any time penalties will still be enforced, but will not change previous results.
Recording/Streaming
Streaming and/or recording games are not required, though it is highly recommended in case there is need of arbitration. Without a video to watch we cannot arbitrate the match, so if there are any discrepancies you will have to replay the games in question. Besides peers will want to critique your gameplay. If you do stream your match via Twitch.tv, or YouTube, you are forbidden to interact during the match with your chat, if we feel there is a perception of coaching and/or cheating, the player will be feed to the dogs. Remember, this is a free, fun, League. Let the players play, stay out of your opponents’ Twitch stream!!
Disconnects
If there is a disconnect, we will assume that it was unintentional and you try to reconnect or replay the match unless it is clearly obvious that one of the players had an insurmountable advantage and would have likely won. This needs to be agreed upon by both players, and we need to know this via email that you both were in agreement. Otherwise, replay that game. Remember this is a friendly League that aims to promote a fun and competitive environment. Don't be a dick… that’s our job. But also, don’t be afraid to call an issue to our attention; just be respectful.
Arbitration
Cucho is the head judge for this League . All rules, arbitration, will be conducted by him for the entirety of the tournament and all decisions are final. -God have mercy on your souls- If you are recording/streaming and there is need for arbitration, finish the games and match and send it to us with details including timestamps so we can arbitrate the issue as fairly as possible. If you and your opponent are not recording/streaming and you require arbitration you need to replay that game as we have no means of arbitrating. It pays to record/stream.
Cheating
Don't cheat. Pretty much that simple. This includes stream sniping, taking advice from your audience while on twitch (also known as coaching), someone else watching your opponents gameplay and feeding you information, etc... Penalty for cheating, whether it is defined in the rules as written or defined at a later date, is immediate DQ and ban from future tournaments. If you think it could be cheating, you probably shouldn't be doing it. If you have questions about it, email or PM us soonest. If you think your opponent is cheating or has an illegal deck list, if you are recording/streaming send us the video with the timestamp of the occurrence. If you are not recording/streaming, try to take a screenshot of the offense and send that to us.
Leaving the League
The League takes about 5 weeks from start to finish, and we can’t see the future. Things happen; real-life syndrome gets the best of us, and that’s to be expected from time to time. If you have to leave, contact the organization team and let us know your reasons. If you have to leave in the middle of a round, contact us and your opponent letting us know you are conceding and dropping from the tournament. The major takeaway is when someone leaves the tournament, any opponents that person has played will have a harder time having a chance getting into further stages. If you can, play for glory, play your matches, and give your opponents the best shot you can.
Weatons´s Law
Don't be a dick. Seriously. Only those deemed worthy by the Lords of the Coliseum have that privilege, and only if it's necessary. Your job is to have fun and try not to get turned into dog pit fodder. If you have a problem with the gameplay, getting together with your opponent, the way something went down in the game… whatever the problem, the correct answer is to let us know and we will deal with it. If any play, interaction, bug, etc… gets under your skin, puts you on tilt, gets you salty, whatever… stop and give yourself five minutes between a game to chill and get your head on straight. This is a friendly competition, so treat everyone with respect (including yourself)

this joke MIGHT pre-date your arrival to NGA, but Kryder used to make threads like this when he'd launch a new tournament or league, and he'd always want the first few posts reserved so he could post results.
So... Barney being Barney would jump in right after he started the topic with a bunch of nonsensical posts about anything other than the tournament. Used to drive him nuts. I'd get PMs, "would you PLEASE delete your posts so I can set up the tourney thread correctly!?"
But don't worry, you don't have that asparagus thing
edit: also, folks (looking at you Kryder, who no longer posts here) need to learn how to use spoiler tags.

If you don't skip lines, it even looks really nice and compact. Hit the quote button to see how it's done - especially the naming part, which works with many other functions on NGA, like URLs for example... this one leads to google... which work the opposite way from what you'd expect.

i love DJ. I'm pretty OCD too and he's right that it's nicer that way. Although I didn't find Cucho's post too bulky. I remember Kryder having brutally long tournament rules. (although necessary).
I'm on this mental health community buzzfeed where I read articles on stuff sometimes, and did you know that it's now considered super uncool to make posts like Cucho just did with, "..how bad is your OCD?" which of course I find totally ridiculous. I think it's fine to refer to OCD whenever you want, but the mental health community considers that making fun of people with OCD and that we shouldn't joke about it
ugh. i think it's totally fine and doesn't minimize the condition at all (which is a TOTALLY walkable condition btw). I sometimes stand in the soup aisle at the grocery store for 10 minutes cuz I can't decide which soup to get, but other than that and always triple-checking my locks, I don't find it a bother.
FWIW, I’m not actually OCD (well, not more than any normal person anyway), I was just trying to be helpful. A lot of folks on NGA don’t know these things or they’d probably use them more often.
I mention it, because I’d hate for anyone to think Cucho offended me in any way with his comment.

Et tu, DJ?
Seriously, I sat down and figured out the spoiler tags at the beginning...I did that just on the passing chance it would drive someone nuts.

Some people just want to watch the world burn...then there is Barney.
